We’ve had a bunch of favourite movie type threads recently. So here’s another.

What are your top 5 (ish) movie quotes of all time? Quote the quote, and name the movie it’s from.

The Big Lebowski

I also use that line from The Big Lebowski basically as punctuation. That, and the one about The Eagles.

I share your appreciation for Casablanca

I'm going to go with the five (or so) movie quotes I tend to work into conversation:

From Ghostbusters, "Dogs and cats living together - MASS HYSTERIA!" and "Ray, when someone asks you if you're a god, you say YES!"

From Real Genius, "Was it the dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?...Why am I the only one who has that dream?" And "It's a moral imperative."

From Princess Bride, "Get some rest. If you haven't got your health, you haven't got anything" is basically my response to anyone I work woth saying they think they're getting sick.

From Blues Brothers, " I hate Illinois Nazis", "Use of unnecessary force has been approved", "We got both kinds. We got country AND western", and "New Oldsmobiles are in early this year/disco pants and haircuts/this place has everything." Actually, this one I could probably post the entire script.

From Christmas Story "Oh fffffffffffffudge!"
