That’s a good way to ensure you don’t have experienced workers around when things inevitably go wrong. Expertise matters.

I was handling a small probate case. It was almost simple, but there was a lot of friction between the surviving (adult) children and their stepmother.

But there was ALSO one tiny flaw in the will: the deceased hadn’t named an executor of any kind. That’s rare.
