    For cha synergy & more spells available to buff/heal, I would suggest a favored soul. I would also drop the Knight, since the flavor of the class is not one of a support character.

    You wouldn't price it, your DM would. By the rules as written, the item is a magic ring, not an enhanceable shield, end of story.

    I seem to recall an 'official' clarification at some point saying that any attacks to a head that do not deal enough damage to sever it have no effect. However, that may only have been the 3E interpretation when you could only kill some by severing heads.

    I think it would definitely apply. Also, remember that all skill tricks are usable only once per encounter, so while this ability may be an effective tactic, it likely isn't going to significantly alter battle strategies or anything.

    Magic item pricing guidelines are just that, guidelines, not rules. 300k for +6 to all stats is not a reasonable price. That, and no one is going to buy 6 +6 stat boosting items. That would be a waste of resources. I think the belts are actually priced very well.

    While it may not be an all day option, it is a 2 hour duration which will take you through a large chunk of a dungeon.

    I would also suggest a bard-ish character: bard 6/mindbender 1 (for telepathy & flavor)/sublime chord. Bard can be surprisingly effective at battlefield control if you pick your spells carefully and use them well.

    Nail, you completely missed the point. I know this mistake is an easy one to make and I'm not criticizing it at all. My point is a generalization. I am saying that the rules tell you explicitly what is allowed. If the rules don't tell you what happens when you do something, nothing happens.
