Like some have said ... fighter builds work best with DD. I played a cleric 9/sor1/dd X for a time ... lots of righteous might's and divine powers. Am playing a brb2/ftr4/sor1/battlerager 5/dd3 now :) ... enlarge person and true strike are just so nice with this trip-based build.

According to the spell, it's a free action for me to "whisk it inside the pocket" ... also "the familiar can leave the space as a free action, or you can call it forth as a free action" :D (from Tome & Blood) ... so there's no move-action involved.

That Hardening spell can also be found in Magic of Faerun.

It's not worse, just a different kind of "bad" ;) This feat can be taken @ lvl 12, so comes into play way before shapechange ... and wildshape is supernatural so can't be dispelled.

Falling damage for an object would be 3d6 (600 lb) + 28d6 (280 ft beyond first increment) = 31d6 ... but there is a maximum of 20d6 so that becomes 20d6 +1d6 fire (DMG p303)

In one of our weirder campaigns we had a stone giant with VoP, just a greatclub and some rocks for throwing :D ... he didn't seem any less nasty than the normal giants.
