Decisions, decisions... if they would make them!

I hate that. My former group before moving to Oregon would always take forever to decide what to play next, and often times wait until we started a game and then 3 sessions in claim "I've made a huge mistake". So frustrating! Anyway, since it sounds like you will be running it, weigh your...

    [Dungeon World] AMA on reddit

DungeonWorld: A roleplaying game with modern rules fit to an old school theme. Have you heard of Apocalypse World? It's like that, except with D&D and awesomeness. AMA: Short for "Ask Me Anything", where you can ask whoever is doing the AMA things about what they're doing. Sometimes they rock...

Owl Hoot Trail: spaghetti western + fantasy = awesome. Come playtest!

Sounds awesome! I'm down for some playtesting opportunities too, PirateCat, so let all know when you need some help with that!

    Alternate Accuracy Mechanics

First idea I had - Allows players to declare an attack against them 'misses'. However, every time they do this, it gives the opposition a token. The opposition can spend two tokens to declare an attack as a 'crit'. Adjust the token expenditure up and down for lethality of crits in the system...

D&D 5E Jonathan Tweet & Rob Heinsoo: Making their own 5th Edition?

Pelgrane Press has been producing games using Robin Law's GUMSHOE system for some time, so they're nothing new. They make great stuff, so count me in as one that's super excited to see 13th Age.

Pathfinder 1E Tipton, IA (30 minutes from Davenport, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids) - Pathfinder

Hey - I no longer live in the Iowa area, but you might try the Fellowship of the Blade. They're the organized play group that operates out of the area. Just be sure to specify that it's not Pathfinder Society games you're running. Facebook: Fellowship of the Blade | Facebook

[ENnies] 2012 Call for Booth Volunteers!

As someone who's volunteered for this for the past couple years, I just wanted to point out that this is a fantastic opportunity to dive in and meet people at GenCon. Not only are you helping out the ENnies, but you work the booth with someone, and members of the EnWorld and Circvs communities...

LF 4E Game in Portland, OR

Hey Graymer - I've been going to Other World Games every Saturday at about 1, and there's two groups of people playing games there. One is 4e and another is Savage Worlds. You could also check out the Portland Gamers on meetup.com - there's a ton of 4e listings there.

Got an Idea for a Campaign, now I need a ruleset

Greg Stolze's REIGN is a fantasy system with "Company" rules on top of it. The Company rules can indicate any sort of factions or guilds or nations, and there's a bunch of free pdf's on his website for representing other things. Anyway, a nice thing is that the PC actions are supposed to affect...

Has anyone ever bought a PDF from Indie Press Revolution?

I believe so. They could have changed their software since I bought stuff a couple months back. One time, I bought a book and received a separate email that gave me a free password to get a pdf from Pelgrane Press's website, for example, so you could have another email coming.

Has anyone ever bought a PDF from Indie Press Revolution?

I've bought from IPR before, and had no problems. They're legit. I've had a similar problem with download links from all the major pdf distributors. I would just wait and see what they respond with from Customer Service.

    Superhero Systems Needed

You already own a lot of d10s? Try the One Roll Engine. Wild Talents, by Arc Dream Publishing, is the generic superhero rules, but they have a couple of settings too if that's your bag. It has some crunch to it, and goes *quick* for figuring out how turns resolve. Link to an overview of...

Suggest a System: I Want to Run A Zombie Game...

I'm currently running a version of War of the Dead by Daring Entertainment (which is originally Savage Worlds) using Unknown Armies by Atlas Games. Unknown Armies is very similar to BRP, in that it's d%, but it's more cinematic for me, and has funky Madness Meters for encountering the world...
