As a GM I would say the whole enemy party surrenders at that point. There's a reason leaders are leaders, without them the enemy party dissolves.

The only problem with you build is that Joan never killed a single person and only carried her standard into battle. But for alternate history mass wartime killer Joan, this rocks.

Punish them for taking too much time, or throw more encounters at them or tougher monsters to balance their resource maximization/conservation.

I don't have this problem with my 4e books and haven't had it with any prior editions either. I also live in a desert too, so it's extremely dry here and that may have something to do with it. Same goes for the page wrinkling.

This doesn't need to be clarified or errata'd though, the intent is clear and any alternative reading is broken if it allows the fighter unlimited use of a burst power. That would encourage the fighter to miss.

That's the way we've been playing it Surgoshan. The way I flavor it is, (usually from a flanking position) I (the warlord) give the enemy a head butt, a punch, or a shield bash and it opens up the foe for a real damaging strike from my ally. Lot's of fun, particularly when combined with Wolf...

Even if PCs blow your solo away, there's no reason for there not to be a follow up fight. The solo could be a pet for another group of monsters, and then you've a got a group who likely just spent all their dailies and now they have to get by on encounter powers and wits.

Hell, that does seem problematic. It's daily though, right?
