    Vital Strike changes

Looking at the DPR Olympics over on the Paizo board, a 10th level fighter with a two-handed weapon loses roughly 25 damage making a standard action vs a full attack. (It's a falchion in the fighter I'm using for the comparison - Vital Strike would be worth +5 damage, and IVS would be worth...

    Death or Glory (feat)

Actually, I'm going to step up here and defend the empyreal knight. It is pretty much the absolute best example so far printed for Pathfinder that you cannot look at an archetype in the context of only one of the abilities it swaps. Because look at what else it gets: a 9th level spell as a...

    Death or Glory (feat)

The short version: it's a full-round action to get a single attack at a BAB requirement that guarantees you could already be getting multiple attacks. So for the cost of a feat, you get the ability to take only one attack (and not move!) with a not-that-impressive attack and damage boost...

    Mapping the Greenbelt

The map was changed at some point after when the charter was written (north got rotated by one hex facing) and the editors didn't catch the implications for the charter. Most of the other direction notes I've found in the adventure are correct, but the charter itself has issues. There are two...

"Its attack damage cannot be modified by precision damage..." So, no, it can't in fact carry a sneak attack.

Optimization Advice Sought for a Knife-Fighter

Guided is still a 3.5-only ability, though, despte numerous opportunities to reprint it for PF. I'm thinking Paizo's reconsidered their position on the whole Wisdom-as-attack-and-damage thing.

    Oracle--what am I missing?

It may interest you to know that this build is illegal. Coat of Many Stars gives an armor bonus, and so it does not stack with the armor bonus granted by worn armor. You get one or the other, not both.

    Too Many Casters?

Since the traditional party breakdown is fighter, wizard, cleric, rogue, and that's pretty much exactly what you have, I'm really not sure where her concern is coming from. Your party is fine, especially if the oracle has some melee capability as well.

    Do Bards still suck?

Because a) it wasn't the case in 3.0, just in 3.5, so it's a legacy rules issue that gets confused, and b) because d6 HD 3.5 bards didn't fight all that much, so their inability to cast spells is what people remember anyway.

Does (full) Orc Ferocity kick in with NON lethal damage, please no conjecture

The issue was brought up during the beta, and Jason Buhlman said it was too much of a corner case to write into the rules; there is no official answer as a result. RAW, the ability doesn't trigger on nonlethal damage. Whether that matters to you however I don't know.

    Damage Bonuses to Ranged Attacks

I apologize for not taking the time to do the links, but here's some answers: * Strength bonus (for thrown weapons or composite bows with a Strength bonus built in) - automatic * Feats - Deadly Aim, Weapon Specialization and Greater Weapon Specialization, Vital Strike and its successor feats...

How to build a throwing fighter ?

Unless you're looking specifically for trapfinding, I suspect the thing you will find most useful out of Ultimate Combat is the knife master rogue archetype, which has d8 sneak attack dice when using daggers or other small blades - this would work as well for thrown daggers as for melee ones...

Arcane Archer as a Magus Archetype

FYI, the myrmidarch archetype from Ultimate Combat allows you to use spellstrike with ranged weapons, beginning at level 4.

    My PF Questions

Every character gets a feat at every odd level (1st, 3rd, 5th, etc.). These feats can be chosen from the entire feat list - the only requirement is that you meet the feat's prerequisites. Other sources of feats, such as the bonus feats that the sorcerer bloodlines offer, typically say which...
