Thanks so much for making this tool!
One of my players started punching his L10 PC into it. It's very nice to be able to include a lot of our homebrew with minimal effort - very nice!
Unfortunately on "Character Sheet 1" it's applying proficiency to all saving throws - twice to those with...
Yes. That abomination (the anti_Tarrasque stratgey). Yeah I quite liked that aura too :-)
Oh agreed. It was a high level MM1 critter for a start ;-)
Ultimately I felt that "MV-ing it" and intelligent play was all it really needed. Mostly the latter, but the former never hurts.
There are plenty of magical options, I see some mentioned below.
I'd add that you Big Bad might have gotten hold of an artifact that allows him to cast Guards and Wards once a day...
Right, yeah. Been a while since I 4e'd :-) I actually wasn't really a fan of adding to the Tarraqsue, though I did write up a possible addition. My preference was simply to play it to its' strengths and stick with my "creatures have an instinctive knowledge of how their abilities work" approach...
Yeah I definitely hated the 3.x way. That said I believe you could do it that way in 5e and maybe they should for those who want to do it that way.
I personally liked the methods in all the editions before and after 3.x. I just could never handle the "three eccs" approach. I'm not say ing it's...
In practice they do work in 4e. If you, the DM, play the monster like a damned idiot. I prefer to play monsters to their strengths - I assume they have some kind of instictive awareness of their abilities and how they work. In the end that's all it takes to deal with the cheese.
Yeah I know...
Using cheese. Use cantrips and range so it can't catch you. There are a few ways to do it - hover above and acid splash, get a fast horse and buffed magic missile, etc.
Check out https://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dkb1/dnd/tarrasque.txt for fun too.
Exactly what I was saying.
I guess the majority of us feel there's plenty of support within the flexibility of the current system. Most of us simply don't want the micro-management of some of the systems. Where every little thing we do there's someone coming out of the woodwork telling us that...
I would say the abilities for the level of cleric and the abilities of a succubus. We generally simplify down the abilities and spell lists tho as they otherwise get overly complex to run.
Traditionally they don't - by the MM method "class" has no relevance to HP. It is size based. You can...
If you want to keep the main game's mathematical progression for proficiency use it's linear formula for proficiency progression.
Proficiency = round(0.25 x Level + 1.25)
There are plenty of "easy" ways to come back from the dead. How about these spells...
Clone
Raise Dead
Wish
A creative DM can use any of these (or scrolls, rings, whatever with those effects) to achieve what you want and have a lot of fun doing so!
