Thurgan listened but kept a casual distance away from the water. He wasn't really afraid of the water, just didn't trust it much . . . deep . . . moving . . . couldn't see the bottom . . . but he wasn't afraid. He wasn't, really.

Black with glowing green eyes, Thurgan thought, doens't that just sound so pleasant.

Sarcasm appealed to Thurgan at the moment.

"Down'n 'ere ye say?" Sturm walks over to the water's edge -- far enough away not to scare off any fish -- and begins splashing the tip of his scythe roughly through the water's surface.

"Come'n ye beast! Up 'ere! I've got somethin' fer ye!"

oC:No, he clearly meant down into the lower caverns, not the water specifically. Of course, Sturm is a bit batty anyways...he might believe anything.

Once it's explained to him what was meant by "heading back down into the depths," Sturm lets the water to its peace and heads back to consult the rest of the part.

"So, 'ow long when we 'ead down after 'is beast? 'fore night I'm guessin'?"

"I'd 'ope so," Rurik replies from just behind the front of the party.

"Ye 'eard 'em say it were a flyin' thin', with green eyes an' I dinna catch what col'r it were o' the body - black? Musta been..."

Rurik pauses ever-so-briefly, and turns back to the rest of the party. "That soun' like any beast ye know? I'm thinkin' young black dragon - but I sure as 'ell 'ope not."
