Ken leaps behind the nearest parked car to gain cover / keep from being spotted (half action – DEX +3 - not behind the black sedan of course) and draws his gun (half action).
If he has the time, he will then take aim (+1 to attack) and hold his attack (delayed action - if time I will brace my weapon on the car too, upping the bonus of aim/brace to +3).
If they fire at Jeff, Ken will shoot one of the guards from behind. (Shoot +7 (+8 if aimed, +10 is braced); 1/6 S - however, as a soldier, I get to have 2 die instead of just one.)
[OOC: Ken is VERY aware that there is one more driver (possibly armed) waiting in the sedan. From his position, he should be able to see both the goons and the driver, and have some decent cover. - Thanks for the map.]

OOC: A few glitch on the map:
1: Soldat is french for soldier. I slipped.
2: The black dot north of the map is a glitch. I was testing color and forgot to erase it.

Kareem smiles, approaching the soldiers and Jeff. He holds his hands out in a disarming manner, and asks in a jovial voice. "Now what's this all about? We don't want any trouble in this nice place, do we? We don't need guns. In all honesty, this isn't the man you're looking for." [Bluff +5)
If Kareem gets close enough to Jeff, he will arch his eyebrows whisper "I believe that you once shared the same employer as myself."
If the bad guys start shooting, Kareem will tackle Jeff, trying to bring him out of their line of sight
OOC: We need to put each other on speed dial on our cell phones. Also, we might consider a Maneuvers code like the Defenders of Daybreak use. (1 Attack, 2 Fall Back, 3 Take Cover...)

3: Kareem is powder blue on the map. Roman is the darker shade of blue on the edge of the dancing area. Sorry for the mix up.
Kareem got it right by assuming he was closer to Neilan despite what was on my sketch.

One soldier starts moving toward Neilan while the other cover him. They are clumsy about it, the bearded soldier that moves to get Neilan step in the line of fire of one of his buddy.
OOC:
Oh my, this can't work for more than a few second! But if you win your check they'll hesitate and you can make a move.
Kareem (Bluff)
Ro 15 + 5 = 20
Soldiers (sense motive)
Ro 19 + 1 + 10 (bluff hard to believe) = 30
Sorry but it doesn't work and now you are assumed to be with him. You do get to whisper to Neilan, though.
Neilan (sense motive)
Ro 15 + 5 + 1 (Kareem's charisma) = 21
Neilan can't possibly be convinced that you are trustworthy ally by just a few whispered words, but he does sense sincerity in your voice and for the duration of the fight you can expect a little cooperation.
The soldier tense up at the sight of outside intervention. They already look like they are improvising and now they have to do more thinking. They clearly don't like that! The soldier that stepped forward is clumsily pointing is rifle at Neilan with one hand and is about to try to push Kareem away with the other.
OOC: Now you need to make a decision; let them have Neilan and fade out or... well the alternative is going to involve rolling for initiative and see what happens. For conveniency, I'll post your initiative and we'll go from there.
Locations are on the map. Ghost is no longer at the bar, however. She's almost reached the toilet. Kareem is now right next to Neilan in the entrance. Steel Ronin is fairly close to what you see on the map except he has taken cover behind a car parked 30 feet away from the black Sedan.
Ghost and Steel Ronin get a surprise round (and an half action). They are the only ones who see the soldiers while having not been located themselves. Everyone else has been spotted (Kareem) or aren't seeing the opposition (Kim and Roman).
I rolled the soldier's initiative and got a lousy 4 (2 + 2). Everyone beat me so basicly all of you get their action before the soldier.
If you let the matter drop they simply take Neilan. Otherwise you have the drop on them.
Kim: You are hearing an alarmed voice coming from the cell phone you confiscated. They haven't realized that CPG is in trouble yet but they will before too long.

Kareem smiles, showing his sparkly white teeth, and raises his eyebrows. Then, he makes his move, and yells "There's a bomb! Everyone get out of here!" While doing so, he seeks to move Jeff to cover and out of the soldier's LOS. If I have an action left, I'll draw my . 45 out of my shoulder holster.
