SPYCRAFT: Blood Money (The African Dream)

The wounded soldier moans and loses his grasp on his weapon. The other one falls prone and spray bullets from his AK-47 in direction of Steel Ronin that do nothing but reduce the value of the car behind which the agent is hiding.

Then the Sedan suddenly surges forward and it right next to Ronin. The passenger's window is shattered by a gunshot.

OOC:

The soldier with the assault rifle is at short range (90 feet). Lynx has 3/4 cover against him (+7 AC). The soldier fire two wide burst (+1 to hit). Falling prone is a free action BTW.

Soldier
Ro 8 + 3 = 11
Ro 5 + 3 = 8

Ronin's AC was 20 for this occasion.

The driver has moved his car paralel to the one providing cover to Ronin. This deny Ronin his cover against the driver. The shot is made at 15 feet using a service pistol. The driver suffers a -6 to hit because he drove in the same round as he attacked. Because of this I'll spend an action die (Now have 7)

Driver
ro 13 + 12 (d12 AD) + 2 - 6 = 19
Steel Ronin loses 6 point of vitality (.40 S&W D12)

The watch out in the back alley is startled by the sound of gunshot on the other side of the club. He seems to hesitate for a few seond then fish out a cell phone and make a call on speed dial.

-''What's going on? (short silence) What do I do now?

OOC: that's about all he does for this round. Ghostfox will get to act early in round 2 before the watchman get a chance to act out his orders.

I just rolled a die with arbitrary probabilities: 10 or less he called, 10 or more he rushed inside. Here goes the result. You're lucky, 'cause if had rushed inside right away you wouldn't have had the time to stop him as it does indeed take your two half action to draw and fit the silencer.

"This is getting better and better... just stay down..."

OOC: I assume you're delaying. Act whenever you want as long as you remember that you can't interrupt anyone (you need ready action and a trigger for that).

OOC: Going to ready an action and cover my prisoner... if anyone gets within 40 feet and is not on my side with a gun they get popped... +3 to attack

OOC Roman: I'll wait until you posted before resolving the actions of the bearded soldier.
[OOC: Hmmm. Let's see. If I don't do something, he'll kill my fellow op and the dude we were trying to question. If I do attack by hand, he might kill me. Decisions, decisions. :D ]

Roman runs out of club, yelling and acting panicked

-A bomb?! A BOMB??!! Oh, dear God! I don't wanna diiiiEEE!!!!-

Screeching like a 10-year-old school girl having an anxiety attack, he flings himself at the bearded guard and tries to grapple him [+1 unarmed bonus].

[OOC: The plan is to Pin the guard so that he cannot bring his weapon to bear. Hopefully, it'll also keep the other guards from shooting me for fear of hitting one of their own. I will use an action die here. This seems kind of important. ]

[OOC: I am not sure if it is a new round or not so I will just ask for a clarification. I think my tux liner provides me with a +1 DB making my regular AC a 14. The liner should also give me damage resistance of 2. (would that alter the damage to 4 VP?)

Also, it would help for an updated map for the second round of action (if that was possible - thank you). I'll decide my next actions after I know what is happening (is there 1 guard left at the door in my LOS? Is the sedan speeding away or did it stop beside me?]

Roman swiftly grab the soldier by the uniform and pushes the assault rifle. He hangs on to the bearded man with all his might in an attempt to keep him from using his weapon. The soldier vigorously tries to knock out Roman with a series of vicious knee and elbow strikes. He successfuly clip the agent over the eye with his elbow, but Roman doesn't let go.

OOC: Nice bluff attempt. I don't need to resolve it, tough. The guard is still faltfooted anyway.

Roman
Grab you opponent
ro 14 + 1 = 15 Def 10
Success

Hold your opponent Roman VS Bearded one
ro 14 + 1 = 15
ro 3 + 2 = 5

No AD had to be spent for Roman to succeed. He grapples the soldiers. He can't pin on this round though, he would need another half action to do so.

Still, only light weapon can be used when grappling which mean the soldier can't use the assault rifle. He therefore do a series of knee and elbow strike in order to knock Roman out.

Soldier unarmed attack
ro 5 + 2 = 7 miss
ro 18 + 2 = 20 hit

The soldier hits Roman for 2 subdual points of damage.

Good thinking about grapple, I had forgotten about it. I was thinking you'd need luck to knock him in one punch...

This was done with style and guts (failure would have left you at point blank fron assault rifle.).

I award one action die to Roman.

And now I'm back to 8! :D

[OOC:

Ronin, you are right. I forgot about your armor. You only lost 4 VP and your def was 1 point higher than what I previously wrote.

The car has indeed stoped near you. You now see the driver through the shattered glass; another soldier, this one wielding a service polt in your direction. He's about to shoot again.

Against him you aren't considered braced because he is coming from a totally different direction. If you attack him you will lose your braced status against the other 2 soldiers (the wounded one + the one that is prone and shooting at you).

On the plus side, the driver is at short range which means you don't get -2 and get your PB +1 bonus. He has 1/2 cover from being inside the car.

You don't see the bearded soldier that who is inside the entrance and grappling with Roman.

Round 2

It is now round 2, so you can all annunces new actions
