SPYCRAFT: Blood Money (The African Dream)

Roman and the bearded soldier dance around until Roman takes a hit to the face. Then he loses his cool.

-Aaaeieei! Crap! That hurt, ya jerk! -

Roman fights to wrestle the guard into submission, but the man is strong and not easily subdued. Fact is that he might be too strong and Roman might have bitten off more than he can chew.

-I could use a little help here! - Roman states in slightly panicy tones.

I mentioned for a clear shot. So if there is a guy w/in 20 ft who I have a clear shot on (ie not grappling or being covered by a screaming mob) I'll put two bullets into him. If not, I'll try and make for the the back. If that's too crowded, I'll join the melee near the front.
 

OOC: No clear shot because of the crowd.

All right, so kareem leads Jeff back into the club. (ro 19 + X on STR check, he manages to push past the panicked crowd). Takes a full roujnd to do 30 feet. He now sees Kim less than 60 feet on your right, near the windows.

Jeff isn't causing any problem for the moment.

Roman digs deep into his brain to extract all the self-defense trick he learned when he was just a rookie. As the soldier is struglling to free his gun, Roman push along with him instead of resisting and manage to unbalance the soldier. Using all his strenght, Roman manages to rotate the soldier towards the wall while locking his right arms behind his back. He then push him sharply forward so that his head hits the wall.

The soldier swears and pushes himself away from the wall and frees his arm by sheer strenght. he pushes Roman away and brings his rifle to bear...

Roman ro 17+1 = 18
Soldier ro 10 +2 = 12

He's pinned. I assumed that you would use you remaining half action to try to knock him out.

Roman ro 10+1 = 11 Soldier's def; 11
You inflicted him 2 points of subdual damage.

On the soldier's turn, he tries to break the pin
Ro 16 + 2 = 18
Roman Ro15 + 1 = 16.

He isn't pined but is still grappled. He tries to get free altogether.
Ro 14 + 2 = 16
Roman Ro 5 + 1 = 6

The soldier is now free and points his rifle at you.

The situation is dangerous but not yet dramatic; It'll be Roman's turn to act before the soldier can shoot.
 

Ken acts quickly, shooting at the driver of the black sedan. With lightening speed he leaps/slides across the back of the car he was hiding behind (keeping his head low) and scurries between the two parked vehicles. (This should put Ken just to the rear and left of the sedan, while placing the other car between himself and the soldiers at the door.)

[OOC: Ken is fighting defensively, loosing 4 on his attack roll but gaining a +2 dodge bonus to his Defense for the round.

(Shoot +6-4= +2*, 2/12 S -soldiers roll 2 for every one die spent in an attack-; AC 16 + any advantages for cover or odd angle LOS for the gunman in the car, etc.)

(Ken's jump is +4 1/6 S - once again rolling 2 dice for every one spent on STR based skill checks.)

After he shoots at the driver, his intention is to gain cover from both the gunman in the car and the gunmen at the door. He WILL evade being run over by the car (in case it goes in reverse) by placing himself between the two parked, stationary vehicles.]

Kim if he can see Roman's predicament will aim his pistol at the soldier and shoot, telling the CPG to get down... and stay put... Kim will shoot to the kill...

If he cannot he will continue on with the CPG and try and get to safety...


OOC: +3 Attack and spend an action die as well so hopefully he can hit... that will leave me with one action die... damage for his pistol is 1d10

Steel Ronin shifts his stance to shoot the driver of the Sedan when bad luck strikes harder than any thug soldier could; the pistol jams. Great. Must be the humidity. Now Ronin understands why Africans only use those indestructible Russians weapons. He scurries out of the way as fast as he can.

OOC:

Ronin rolled a 1, I couldn't resist spending 2 action die (now have 6) to jam the gun. It takes a full action to clear the weapon.

You are now repositioned.

Kim : You need another double move to reach the entrance. The only soldier you currently see is the one through the window that I described previously.

If you keep moving toward the entrance, you'll see Roman and the soldier and your action will take place after both Roman and the Soldier get tp act once more. As long as they are in contact, you'll get a -4 to hit and risk hitting Roman (they might not be in contact anymore when you reach them, though). Once you are in sight, the crowd will provide cover unless you move next to whoever you wish to shoot.
