Does anyone know if he worked on Serpent Kingdoms? Perhaps there was just too much material that was meant for the book and it wound up as extras here?

Any way it goes, it looks like this material can be easily slotted, at least in part, with the Serpent book by Forgotten Realms.

As far as I know, these are the authors of Serpent Kingdoms: Ed Greenwood, Eric L. Boyd, and Darrin Drader. So, I don't think SKR was involved. In addition, these were specially-commissioned templates for us, although that wouldn't provide any insight as to their creative point of origin...

And, yes, the material is generic enough to be slotted virtually anywhere. There is no campaign or world-specific information whatsoever.

This could be a selling point in and of itself though. "Jazzed by the Serpent Kingdoms but left wanting more! Sean K Reynolds hears you and has provided!"

I liked the concept of the OGL Interlinked products from Green Ronin and Paradigm, but they just didn't go anywhere. The books were linked vaguely and didn't rely on each other or build off each other. In my opinion of course.

I dunno. Was Serpent Kingdoms a big hit? I don't know much about it, unfortunately (I've been too busy typing, hiring aritists, etc.). Silly me! Anyway, I don't think we can since "Serpent Kingdoms" is not something WotC will let us use for marketing purposes (d20 license and all that). Good idea, though...

The artist is Cara J. Mitten. She has done a lot of work for us in the past, as well as WotC, White Wolf, etc. We love her critters! :)

The templates depicted in the images are as follows: Murmouth, Flashbeast, Chemdrake, and Thunderclaw (in that order).

Hope that helps! :D
Cheers!

I love, love, love my book of templates. I'm really looking forward to this.

Glad to hear, PirateCat! This volume should be a very nice addition to your template collection... :)
