Chronicles of Riddick future setting

Testament

A very cool setting, with an aesthetic that reminded me in many ways of Warhammer 40,000. At any rate, the Necromongers did, what with their sculptures of humans in pain, their exaltation of humanity and pain, and their love of death imagery.

I'm with Piratecat though, the names were seriously stupid. I still wince at "Necromonger" and "Underverse". Otherwise, it was a very good bad film.

Per the movie 'Pitch Black', the night vision is an artifical augmentation. He received it while on a penal planet.

As for faster.... I'm more inclined to think 'smarter'.

Surprised no one has brought up Pitch Black yet....

Me too. I think that COR suffers from so many barbs because its a different kind of movie than PB. I know more than one who didn't like the movie because it was so different than PB. Their loss. I got the DVD (to have them both) and i enjoyed the movie even more the second time.
You wouldn't have guessed anything about the COR universe from PB. I liken the two movies to the first couple of alien movies, both great but totally different from each other.

As for the names.....Underverse/The Force...Crematorium/Cloud City...no worse more or less.

I tell you that Riddick is a cooler name than Luke Sywalker. ;)

Maybe, but not the Red X from the Star Wars Holiday Special (and yes, that is Mark Hamil under all that makeup).

I can't see any picture, and now that you've elaborated...thank you so much Mr. Red X. It is a beautiful thing to save us from pain. True pain.
