Idealy, Cade will charge the "Scarry Doggie" in an attept to also keep cover behind it from the orcs if possable.

Edit: Also, he will probably stay close (He's got a reach weapon) after the charge to take cover, though he may continue a bit if it gives him better cover. Hopefully he can help setup a flank for someone.

Somac: Male Human Bbn 3

Somac feels a surge of satisfaction as his axe glides through the beast's grey flesh. "Ha-HA!" he thunders.

He will keep after the "scary doggie" and try to hit him again. If he is brought down before Somac's next turn, he will instead go after the most threatening orc.

(OOC: Dagummit is too far from the orcs to reach them this round (though he could get to them next round. He is also in charge range of the "scary doggie")

On his next action A'jardin runs as far around the combat as he can, attempting to interpose the melee with the renders between himself and the orcs.

ooc: 120' run. Could we get a map, I'm a bit confused about the relative positions of the combatants.

Scun will protect the rear position, setting himself up behind the party and readying his spear in case any orcs charge him.

ooc: 2 actions depending on current state of affairs:

if bad doggie is still standing - Rillian will attempt to move to a flanking position and attack the bad doggie.

otherwise - Rillian will move to stand next to Somac, facing a group of orcs, draw a javelin, and throw at the rightmost of that group of orcs.

OOC: OK, then I'll move to get within charging distance of an orc. I'm not charging the "scary doggie." It scares me ;) .

(OOC: A picture, as requested)

See below :)

*Daggumit moves into position to charge one of the orcs attacking the exposed rear of the group, the stalwart dwarf bravely preparing to defend the injured wizard and the others.*

*Cade charges at the attacking creature and halts as he thrusts his lance at the beast's legs, unable to find an angle to move past. Nonetheless, the way he delivers all of Alton's momentum into the charge in just the right spot creates an incredible impact, as the lance explodes out the other side of the beast's leg, shattering bone and flesh and leaving a gaping hole that oozes blood.*

*The beast roars in agony, and the nimble and quick-witted Rillian uses the opportunity to move in across from Cade and make a slash with his sword to the heart. Rillian drips sweat as he begins to feel his greatsword deflect against the beast's hide like last time, but he grits his teeth and wrenches harder, missing the heart but still dealing the crucial finishing blow, thanks to his perseverance. As Rillian pulls back and watches the creature's side split open, it stumbles back a step in shock, as if unable to comprehend that these puny beings were able to defeat it, and then collapses to the ground.*

(OOC:
What luck--our first natural 20, and a rolled 17 to confirm! Cade crits for 31 damage. Not bad for a little guy.

Rillian barely hits but deals a sweet 16 damage, finishing the job.

Nicely done. You killed a CR 8 monster

I will let Azmodean see the map and decide what to do next :))
