I always admire Rich's tendency to make plot-importnat strips simple and impressive. Like this one, only half-dozen panels, and virtually no dialogue, but it says so much.

It does? I thought it didn't say more than "...and Miko falls." ;)

I think it's significant that Miko's change in character really dates back to Roy's rejection of her (incredibly arrogant and patronizing) romantic overtures toward her. Prior to that, she'd seen the OotS as a group whose goodness would be judged by Azure City and was basically sympathetic to them. After that, she looked for basically any excuse to consider them evil.

Sorry, Sabine, but you kinda pale against a woman scorned.

That means the loss was from the attack intended to kill, not the death itself.
I'm confused. Why would anyone expect anything different? Was someone silly enough to suggest that if Shojo got raised it would make it okay, or something like that?
