Niccolo - male human swashbuckler

"Guess we weren't the only ones thinking ambush -- but is this Cannith or Breland or someone else?" Niccolo fumbles for his potion as he talks, intending to drink it and then pick up his crossbow.

OOC: initiative 1d20+3=18

OOC: I assume most of the folks on the docks are disguised, but now that they're revealing themselves, any uniforms or insignias or what-not showing? And where's Orerreth? Still with us?

ooc: It's one of these editing errors. They keep creeping in, and I read my posts twice before pasting them here and hitting the send button. They are supposed to be "slender blades."

Lots of surprised cries of "You!" and "You too!" and "Oh, my back!" (those last ones coming from you) as everybody draws weapons.

[I rolled for Manzanita. Initiatives:

Siobhan
Niccolo
??? guys
Raven
Ceshil and swordmen
Half orcs, shifter and woman
Stulgar
Orerreth.

Stulgar, Siobhan and Niccolo must make DC 13 fortitude checks or suffer a -1 circumstance penalty to attack, skill and ability checks for 3 rounds. I hope everyone finds the map clear enough. I forgot poor Orerreth, but he's with you, and used a spell on Niccolo's rapier before the whole thing started. Now it has the Flaming property.]

OOC: Thanks for rolling init for me, Someone. Feel free to do that any time. I don't ever want to hold up the game.

Raven hasn't taken her potion yet. She's not sure how this will go. She does spring into action. She moves NorthWest, aiming to get to the last barge away from the adventurers. She has her shield and sword in hand.

OOC: Relevant skills: Balance +3; jump +8; tumble +7

*Siobhan may have reacted quickly, but she isn't sure exactly what to do. The mystery men seem to be a third-party who will make this a three way (and in some ways four way) battle, so she doesn't want to draw attention and make her own group a target. She waits for a good time to strike.*

(OOC: Delaying for now, so she can pop in the order later, probably right after the mystery men. Also, she does take the -1 penalty)

Niccolo - male human swashbuckler

Niccolo shakes his head in confusion as he tries to figure out what's going on.

OOC: Didn't quite make the save here - fortitude (1d20+4=12)

OOC: My posting's going to be a little erratic for the next day or two, sorry, but I intend to drink the potion and then delay until it's more obvious who these guys are.

The party throws aside the canvas and stand up among some serious back aches and sleeping legs and so, to discover that they have no idea of what's going on. A voice you may recognize sounds, though you can't make from where is he speaking: "Delay them! The rest of you go for the crystal!". The men that pretended to be workers divide in two groups: five of them go after you and Ceshil, approaching cautiously, while the rest try to surround the adventuring group. Meanwhile the same voice sounds again, saying in a very suggestive tone "This looks dangerous. I think you should retreat to a more defensible position" As the voice sounds, the shifter stares with eyes wide open and nods, but at the same time Lormand appears from thin air, standing in a barge 30 feet east of the shifter. He looks surprised too.

[ooc: I'll update the map as soon as I can. Meanwhile the grey dots have moved to surround you and Ceshil: you can reach a couple of them if you move enough, and Lormand appeared exactly 30 feet away from the shifter of the adventuring group. If you have any doubt, don't hesitate to ask: the battle is already complicated enough and doesn't need us commiting mistakes or rewindign events.
