Perhaps my ears are more sensitive than most, but I certainly wouldn't say it around my grandma...

ADDENDUM: I don't mean to limit anyone's RP expression, but I believe there are more colorful ways of cursing without actually swearing.

Yeah, thanksgiving at the Wik household can be a little violent. Mostly because my gramma likes to hit the bottle. :D

easily changed, though. What would work for a paladin's curse? "Gods be damned" don't work, I think.

No, it's fair enough. I just don't consider that swearing. It's in the process of being changed.

I imagine most people know a few curses in other languages, even if they aren't fluent in them. Goblin curses are probably popular. Or perhaps "Taurusk's wounds!" or "Halina's blood!"

Bront mentioned a map which showed the Orussus Region map to scale on the (out of date) World Map. I got curious, so I made my own. It's not as tiny as I thought it would be, but I think that's partly due to my misconceptions of the size of the Orussus Region map. I thought it was small, like a subregion of a country, but it's actually a pretty huge area, 1000 miles by 800 miles, approximately the surface area of Egypt! By horse, at 48mpd, it would take about 10 days to reach the edge of the map from Orussus. Here's my scale map is for the curious:
