I should mention that I"m totally behind on character approvals. Sometimes I think I'll catch up but it hasn't been happening. I do work on it at times, but I'm not going to approach the efficiency of Orsal or Rae.

So I'm hereby offering the job to someone else if they want it. If no one else qualified volunteers to be the character approval judge, I'll keep slugging away at it. But I thought I ought to throw this out there.

I've been wondering if I can do anything to help out. What sort of volume of approvals do we have here? If it's not too onerous, and if people think I'd be an appropriate person, perhaps I could be of assistance?

'Nock :\ (unsure of what he's letting himself in for)

Edit: Of course, the other question is what sort of resources I'd need to have to undertake this. Presumably just the three core books and the SRD.

I'd like to help out as well.

'Nock,

You payed too much to make your weapons. Non-magical crafting is 1/3 the cost in gold, not 1/2. It was amended to the craft system at some point.

I've just posted a Job thread for Tarag, my newly approved dwarven smith. :)

Would some kind Judge like to have a quick look here and approve it, please?

Ta very much! :D

Already been there :p

As long as you can do the job, and half the money goes towards your shop, you're good.

Ah, thanks for this, Bront. I have such trouble keeping up with all the latest changes in the rules. (And I thought I'd spent so much time researching all this. :( )

Now, that's 1/3 cost for non-magical only, right? Magical crafting is still 1/2 cost?

Whew, we're leapfrogging one another in our posts. I think it's a quarter of the income which goes towards the premises. That's what it says in the Rules & Mechanics thread. I quoted it in the first post of Tarag's job thread.

Rules question, I'm not sure where I should ask:

Would the Vampiric Blade psionic power work in conjunction with a projectile weapon, as when manifested on a longbow, would it heal the manifester whenever he/she struck someone with an arrow launched by the longbow?

Quick Edit: Also, the Weapon of Energy psionic power, which is worded in a similar manner.

Link to Vampiric Blade in the Hypertext SRD

I'd say no: most powers and weapon enchantments that confer their abilities to their ammo specifically say so, and these ones doesn't. For throwns weapons, vampiric blade also says the power ends as soon it leaves your grasp, but it'd work for Weapon of energy (or you could manifest it on someone else's weapon)
