Round 2 (con't)

Razh wheels and dashes back to the gate where he started. "Giant bull-man inside! A li'l 'elp!?" he shouts.

Ogrin crouches, sheilded by the tent, waiting for something.

Nodis shouts back at Talbin, ""They got into trouble. There's a big horned guy inside with an axe. Make them to fall back!" He then begins to summon a construct.

Talbin double moves up behind Nodis.

The minotaur comes around the tent, and is now visible to everyone. It is a large, bull-headed man, with dirty scale mail and a huge axe. It takes a swing at Razh. Fortunately, the dwarf's sturdy mail and shield deflect the blow.

To the south, an orc wearing spiked brestplate armor, and weilding an orc double axe rounds the tent. The orc doesn't see Ogrin until too late! Ogrin jabs out with his blade. Depite catching the orc flat-footed, his blade deflects off the orc's fine armor.

The orc then swings his axe at Ogrin. His body seems to expand with rage at the halfing's surpirse attack, and a great shout of anger accompanies the axe's swing. Despite his speed, Ogrin cannot competely avoid the blow, which rips a painful wound in his torso.

Behind their leaders, several more orcs appear. They are armed with Falchions and javelins like their companions in town. One (O5) hurls a javelin ineffectively towards Razh.

Rasereit Vundinn, Dwarven Fighter/Barbarian (HP: 71/71, AC: 20)

Rasereit cringes when the minotaur's axe collides with his shield. With a grunt, he pushes with all his might and throws the giant thing's weapon aside. His grunt turns into a roar, and his muscles ripple with power as he advances towards the beast. Rasereit, inflamed with the fury of his ancestors, cuts easily (27) through the minotaur's armor and naturally tough skin. The dwarven waraxe leaves the minotaur's chest, trailing blood through the air. (15 damage) The dwarf's teeth clench, and his roar dies instantly, but Rasereit isn't finished. Silent now, his spiked shield slams (26) into the bull-man's thick thigh, impaling his leg muscle with a dozen bloody holes. (10 damage)

OOC: 5' step forward (free, doesn't provoke AoO), rage (free, +4 STR, +4 CON, -2 AC), full TWF attack (full)

(Rage round 1/8)

Talbin Moves slightly back and creeps against the wall of the gate and hides himself from the gaze of the bull-man. Then he winds up his sling at tries to get a good shot at the hopefuly unsuspecting monster.

ooc: take a 5'step back(free action) to NE and hide (as part of 5; step). Then make a sneak attack(standard action) (if the minotaur doesn't notice him) and hide again (snipe) (move action).
first hide check: 26
Attack roll: 14
Damage: 3
sneak attack damage (applies if he hid succesfully): 6
hide check after attack: 26

Nodis, male human shaper 5, AC 16, HP 31/31, PP 16/31

"Oh-oh." thinks Nodis briefly. He has other things to think on, however, as a lump of translucent matter with short legs and oversized fists appears behind he minotaur and deals a powerful blow, destabilizing the huge beast. Nodis himself continues concentrating on another construct, this one designed to attack the orc soldiers.

[Sblock=ooc] The construct appears flanking the minotaur and attacks, hitting AC 15 (the roll [edit: I mean the number in Invisible castle] desn't include flanking, but the total of 15 does), and dealing 15 damage. Opposed Str check to trip the mintaur is 25. Rolls here

Nodis moves 5 feet east and starts crafting another construct, with the Cleave and Improved natural attack options, spending again 5 power points.

ooc: After having a better look at the numbers posted, looks like Razh and the construct did a lot of damage. If it's the case that the minotaur dies with the first swing, Nodis will instad look for cover, abstain from manifesting furter, and send the construct (with his unspent move action) 40 feet towards the south to help Ogrin.

"We've got a woodcutter over here! I'll try to keep him occupied!"

Seeing that the Orc in front of him is tougher than the other they've fought, Ogrin decides a bit of caution might be in order and adopts a more defensive fighting style. He drops his short sword and wields his longsword in both hands as he lands a good blow against the twin-ax-wielding orc. The orc reels back a moment, and Ogrin uses this respite to feint another low blow and to ready his shield.
[SBLOCK=Rules & Rolls]Combat expertise, +4 AC, -4 to hit until next round (Free). Drop sword (Free). Attack roll 20, Damage 6 (Standard). Ready shield (Move). Feint (Move)

AC is now 27 (+3 shield, +4 Combat Expertise)

Edit: D'oh! I'm stupid. I can ready a shield during actual movement, not during any move action, So Ogrin spends a move action readying his shield and does no feinting this round.

Edit 2: Damage is also +1 as strength is multiplied by x1.5 when wielding two-handed. Forgot this in the roll.[/SBLOCK]

Round 3
Razh steps forward & delivers a pair of devistating blows against the minotaur. Unfortunately, Nodis' construct, appearing behind the beast, can't finish it off through its thick armor and hide. Nodis concentrates on summoning another construct.

Talbin is able to step back and conceal himself partially behind the broken down gate (move action). He feels its a good hiding place. He then slings a bullet at the horned monster, but his stone too, deflects uselessly off the creature's armor.

The minotaur is taken aback by how much damage the dwarf has done, but has little option but to continue fighting. It slams down its axe and tries to skewer him on its horns. The beast gives as good as it gets, with axe and horn both piercing the brave dwarf's armor, splatting the area with blood.

Ogrin shifts, dropping his small sword and striking out with his larger. He hits, drawing some blood, but the would is superficial. The halfling is ready, though, with sheild up, and eyes carefully watching for the next blow.

His opponent shouts out in common, with a gruff voice, "Surrender now, fool! Or do you need more persuading?!" As the orc speaks, he uses his axe. With surprising skill, he whips one end around, then spins the axe and brings the other down at Ogrin's head. Prepared for the assault this time, Ogrin deftly avoids both blows.

An orc soldier stands behind the large orc now, and also slashes at Ogrin with its falchion. One of the two orcs to the north of the tent charges and attacks Razh. The other orc to the north runs around battle, to the north of the minotaur, and comes back in, reaching Nodis, but unable to yet attack. Neither of the other orcs can hit the dynamic duo of dwarf and halfling.

Rasereit Vundinn, Dwarven Fighter/Barbarian (HP: 45/71, AC: 20)

Rasereit screams in pain as the minotaur's massive axe plunges into his body. He feebly swipes at the Minotaur with his waraxe, but the swing is less of an attack and more of a lazy wave of his arm. He almost drops (1) his axe. Never one to let pain get the best of him, Rasereit recovers from his horrible axe attack with a much stronger shield bash (20 22 w/ flanking). (10 damage)

OOC: TWF attack (Full), Critical failure with the waraxe! 10 damage only if a 20 atk roll hits.

(Rage round 2/8)

Nodis, male human psion (shaper), AC 16, HP 31/31, PP 6/35

ooc: Manz, Nodis' first astral construct should be flanking the minotaur with Razh as I posted previousy, that means at O4 or P4 (it's not a one-time effect, it stays for 1 round/level like summoned monsters, 6 rounds in this case since I used Overchannel). That should have stoped the orcs from going around the minotaur to Talbind and Nodis unless it wanted to draw an AoO from it.

IC:

If Razh kills the minotaur in his action:

The 1st construct, now free, swiftly stumbles on his stubby legs, advancing much faster than it'd look it's possible on a creature of that construction, jumping on it and dealing a devastating blow.

Construct moves from o4 to p10, maybe drawing an AoO in the way, but that isn't important. Hits AC 19 and deals 13 damage, opposed Str check for trip is 13 (no chance of being tripped back). Rolls here

The other construct, very similar to the first one, and splatters the orcs around it. Nodis directs it againts the surviving orcs, too.

The second construct appears max 30 feet rom Nodis (Close range) where it can threaten the orc threatening him and the minotaur, or otherwise, the max number of orcs. Then attacks: hits AC 24 and deals 10 damage, if it can cleave it hits AC 22 and deals 12 damage. Rolls here. After that it moves to threaten more enemies. Second construct has the same stats as the first one (detailed in a previous post), only that it doesn't the Trip special attack and instead gains Cleave.

If the minotaur is still alive in Nodis' turn, the first construct attacks the minotaur instead of the orc (with a flanking bonus, which Razh should be adding too) and moves south if the minotaur is finished. Second construct's actions remain mre or less the same.

Now very near exhastion, Nodis falls back, moving east behind Talbin where he can see what his constructs are doing.

Blades spinning about him, Ogrin does his best to continue avoid being hit. He feints losing his balance, but as the orc rushes in to take advantage of this, he slashes up towards the orcs face. The orc easily avoid it, and comes in with its double-axe spinning...

OOC: Combat expertise, moving BAB (4) as above, AC +27.
