S2: War in Vastermarch - Completed

Talbin moves forward into Ogrin's previous position and load his sling.
He fires a sling bullet at the orc obove the gate.

ooc: attack with sling at -4 due the fact that the orc is in melee.

After 'M' and 'P' (whoever they are) go...

Razh shoots Talbin a wink and a, "Nice shot," before he charges after the fleeing orc in the red tunic. When the dwarf catches up with him, he almost crashes right into the skull-helmeted orc, but he recovers just in time, and with the help of his momentum, his dwarven waraxe penetrates the orc's armor. (10 damage)

OOC: Not 100% sure he can reach the orc in red with a charge. If not, he'll chase the red orc with a run action (max 120') rather than switch targets, and I'll reuse the atk roll next round.
 

I'll get a post up here, soon. DM posts involving maps and multiple NPCs always take me longer, and can only be done on my one special computer...

Nodis could post an action, too. Otherwise, he's going to end up delaying into the next round...
 

ooc: Nodis' actions is to move behind Razh and Ogrin (just ousde the gate). He doesn't ee but a couple orcs, not enough to waste energy.
 

Seeing Razh charge away once more, Ogrin takes the other way around the burning tent. He pauses to glance around the second corner of the tent. If he sees an orc, or one of their allies coming towards him, he'll try to hide among the smoke and chaos, surprising who- or whatever comes around the corner with a sharp blade to the gut. If he sees noone, or all of them stop to engage Razh he continues, trying to outflank one of Razh's aggressors.

OOC: Move + Hide (hoping for a Sneak AoO), or Move + Move, setting up for a Flanking sneak attack next turn.
 

2:07:18 am. Cool, clear, partial moonlight

Nodis hustles forward to keep up with Razh and Ogrin. Talbin moves up 20 feet and fires a sling bullet at the orc on the platform. This orc could not be seen from where Ogrin and Razh are, as they are standing essentially underneath him. The orc is in combat and has 50% concealment from a short wall intended to protect defenders from missile weapons. In fact, it is a good shot, but Talbin's bullet deflects off the wall.

Round 2

Razh and Orgin split up Each makes a more action (20 feet for Ogrin, 30 feet for Razh). At this point, they can no longer see each other.

For grins here, I'll post each PC's view seperately. Please read only your section.

Razh [sblock] Razh sprints around the North corner of the burning tent after his chosen prey. He swings a little wide, to avoid the worst of the heat & smoke. As he rounds the corner, he sees a large armored creature hurtling towards him! Razh knows this is not an ogre. It is about 7 feet tall, and has the head and horns of a great bull. It wears dirty scale mail armor and carries a huge axe with both hands.

Razh could reach and attack the creature with a 30 foot move (which would incur an AoO). He could also stop short & do something else.[/sblock]

Ogrin [sblock] Ogrin moves around the corner to the south of the burning tent. He sees a large orc hurrying towards him. This orc wears heavier armor (spiked breastplate) than the others he's seen today, and carries a orc double axe in his hands. It's not clear to Ogrin if the orc has seen him. I'll assume he'll duck back behind the corner of the tent and try for a sneak attack.[/sblock]

Nodis[sblock] Nodis sees his two friends move ahead. Ogrin pauses and pulls back to hide at the edge of the tent, as though waiting for someone to approach. Razh hurtles around the North side and encounters the large figure you'd seen earlier, which now appears to be a bull-headed humanoid with a huge axe.[/sblock]

Talbin [sblock] Talbin has lost sight of Razh and Ogrin. Nodis is standing in the broken fort gate. Talbin can still see the human and orc fighting above him on the platform.[/sblock]

[sblock=Manzanita]Do ogres have horns? thinks Nodis. He turns back at Talbin and says aloud "They got into trouble. There's a big horned guy inside with an axe. Make them to fall back!"

He meanwhile concentrates on creating an astral construct.

ooc: Speaking is a free action. Nodis starts manifesting Astral construct, spending 5 power points and his psionic focus on the Talented feat, which in turn allows him to use Overchannel without taking damage. The construct created will have the Improved natural attack and Trip options. He also moves 5 feet back.[/sblock]
 

Rasereit Vundinn, Dwarven Fighter/Barbarian (HP: 61/61, AC: 22)

[sblock=Rasereit: ]Rasereit sees the giant bull-man and stops in his tracks. "Too big," he mutters, and turns on his heels back out of the tent.[/sblock]
Rasereit emerges from the tent and shouts, "Giant bull-man inside! A li'l 'elp!?"
 

[sblock=Manzanita]Seeing that the orc has too much cover, Talbin moves towards the gate to try and help with the battle that is going on there. Loading another slnig bullet along the way[/sblock]
