Solaire tries to avoid the highway as much as possible since it is the most open to travelers. He keeps to backwoods when he can without straying too far from common landmarks.

With unmatched speed, the sorceror moves through the stairs, up to the next floor. The essence of the scroll guiding and luring him, like a flower to a bee.

Joyce smiles back at the rogue, then leans back in her seat and putting her head back lets the wind of the drive wash over her.

Surprising the little demon sitting on the floor ripping at an old tome, Providence notices this isn't the first such tome the beast has torn to shreds.

Solaire

The trip takes Solaire a couple days but finally he reaches the city limits of Richmond. The young man plays it safe and waits for night to enter the city, and find the command spot Havok talked of. After the peacefulness of the countryside the city looks like a kicked anthill so he waits. The sun down Solaire sneaks into the downtown region and heads for 17th street. He keeps to alleys as much as possible, he cringes when a voice from behind him shouts, "Halt! What are you doing out after curfew?"

Sheng

Taking the stairs Sheng is pulled up and up, towards the roof? Suddenly as he gets to the last set of stairs the feel of the scroll vanishes. No longer able to feel the pull but knowing where it "was" Sheng charges out onto the roof to see...

A helicopter heading for the Richmond skyline. Sheng knows the scroll is on board though he can no longer feel it.

Solaire will turn around and try to act innocent, but if he sees someone from who looks like they are in body armor, a military outfit or a police officer's outfit, he will prepare to dash off to the nearest source of cover. Otherwise he will use energy detection to see if there is anything unusual about the character. Of course, if it looks like a mob, he will run too.

Choleric, the sorceror releases all his fiery fury over the building, when his blasts couldn't reach the helicopter. Enveloped in flames, he exits the building, avoiding any guard with an invisibility trick. He knew he had to track down that helicopter, and find he scroll. Richmond was his next stop.

Continuing toward Richmond, a thought occurs to Dominic "So no expense account? He asks nodding back towards the abandoned vehicle.

Joyce stops smiling and a fustrated look comes over her face. "No this is a... a freelance type job. My editor says there is nothing special about the Senator's visit but my gut says something else. So I get to cover the story if there is one, I just don't get any support." she tells Dominic. The smile creeps back into place, "Would serve them right if it was a great story and I gave it to USA Today Upper North."
The talk continues as the two drive on, and finally with the sun setting the lights of Richmond appear as the two round a bend. Joyce directs Dominic to her hotel. Getting out and grabbing her bag she turns and smiles again. "This is where I will be the next three days if you need anything," her smile broadens "Just give me a call." she starts towards the hotel. "Oh and before you pick up another stranger make sure you fix your gas gauge. Some people may wonder how you can drive for over an hour with it on empty." She then winks and walks into the hotel.

Sheng

The Red Snake Sorcerer makes his way to downtown richmond where he saw the helicopter disappear to. With the sun down it is easy for him to keep to the shadows, but where did that helicopter land which building is linked to the Alchemax factory being built on the other side of the river. Turning yet another corner he sees a peculair sight. A group of men all dressed the same are chasing a lone man down the street. The lone man only has a knapsack the group seems armed with baseball bats, chains, and pipes.

Solaire

Running from the "Knight's of Purity" Solaire doesn't know how he will get out of this mess. He was glad of the briefing that let him know about the KoP and the Sentinel base's location, but knowing doesn't help after he was found. So running became his only option maybe they will find someone else to bother.

Providence

The demon doesn't move a half eaten book in it's claws, and another stack of books standing beside where the little creature sits. Then she sees it the Tome of Zhered-Na, this must be the reason she is here to prevent the tome from being eaten by a little demon. She could laugh at the way the troubleseeker works.

OOC: Can I assume the mob Sheng sees is chasing Solaire? I wasn't sure from your description.

The running to the city was short enough, but once inside such a big urban landscape, Sheng was completely lost. At this point he saw a band after a lone man in clear disadvantage.

"That man needs your help Sheng" says Wang Chi inside the sorcerer's mind
"What? Perhaps he's just another member of that gang, and he's getting what he deserves."
"Such an assumption is not to be taken seriously, isn't it?"
"Of course not Wang Chi, I was merely joking." sighs Sheng, and darts after the mob, sending repeated fireballs to the attackers.
