Adventure: Into the Wild

Neurotic

I plan on living forever. Or die trying.
Rocco was at a loss of words altough he should have expected something like this, really.

He nods at Nementah worsd and is somewhat taken aback at paladin's tone, but he does his best to look as tough as possible.

But he never was very good at reading people and now isn't any different

Nementah was ready for some unpleasantness on this side of the portal, though she expected more devils or at least natural beasts, not humanoids. Still, her experience in the city served her well and she was ready when hostilities begun.

"Here we go again. This is just like Living Island where everything is trying to kill you. Civilization is overrated, it only makes you soft for the slaughter."

OOC: We'll assume weapons are out. So are theirs!

Tension raises until finally it reaches the boiling point. Looking back, none of the survivors will be able to remember just what straw broke the camel back but suddenly violences erupt!

Out of the corner of her eyes, Nementah is the first to notice that he besieged villager from the fort a few hundred feet away chose just this moment to make a sortie, led by a knight, a young woman in arcane gears and thunder genasi wizard. Wait, that rings a bell...

OOC: Of the three, the thunder genasi wizard is the most readily recognizable as one of the missing adventurers. The two other also fit the description.

OOC: I was swamped at work! At least I finally settled on an acceptable map. Nothing spectacular but it'll do. I just need to GIMP it with all the tokens.

Quick whisper to the others:
"There are the missing ones. We need to solve this quickly!"

OOC: will wait for the map.

[sblock=Mal] would 'weapons out' include presence of Primera? She's usually first action on my part and is as much a weapon as anything and through the pool portal she went first. Is it possible to do this here?

OOC: Sure, I put Primera on the map.

Not missing a beat, Nementah, Renquist and Ibram jump into action, a fraction of a second before everybody else.

They face overwhelming odds. The most worrisome hunters are a pair of huge goliaths grinning eagerly as well as scimitar wielding maniacs. A bizarre creature made entirely of shards as well as huge horned beast seems even more powerful but they are at the back of the pack and are likely to be more of a problem for the three new comers charging up the road.

[sblock=Tactics]I'm too tired to think of much, but these monsters seem to be using MM3 damage expression values and it looks to be an N+3 fight or so... in other words, time to pull out the dallies if you got 'em hope we roll well![/sblock]

I can grant DR 4 for the whole encounter which would reduce the damage taken significantly.

BUT, you need to be adjacent to Primera (burst 1). Which means Dante and Renquist need to move closer and that cannot happen in this round UNLESS Ibram or Renquist can move Dante

Mal, how would this go: Renquist moves 2 squares north and one west, lifts dante and positions him adjacent ot primera. (suffers OA from minion(s)
Also, we DID NOT receive action point in the last combat, have we?

Yes, I know we buckle the line somewhat, but I think DR 4 is worth it.
Yes, I know Ibram can slide with his majestic word and it would be a waste of healing, but DR 4 will prevent more damage (but of course, we will need all the healing we can get so this should be our last option)

Or we can wait and hope we can resolve first round or two without scattering too much. I can target on of the goons within 5 if we cannot gather around...
[/sblock]

"Gather around Primera, quickly!" shouts Nementah and waits to see if they manage somehow to gather before the enemies make their move.

OOC: wait for Ibram and Renquist, but act before the enemies
