GM: Whew, fixed. The party didn't hit get quite as hard.

If it caused any confusion, Eithal's granted action to ready something came before the combat started(treat it as though you had one action's worth of readying complete when this round started).

Their AC is 18.

Stalking the Prey, Round 1

The Death motes unleash their energies upon the group, one of them latching onto Toeto and using her life force to create a duplicate of itself.

The Stalkers glare amongst the group with unnatural malevolence in their chill green eyes that weaken Kaz. They attack with cunning, like a pack, their shimmering fur blending them totally in with the rock, tree, and mist until they strike against the injured members of the party first, landing savage blows that take Kaz and Salgyn down and killing Yishim outright.

One of the motes flares and Yishim instantly rises again and struggles to grab Eithal's feet.

Inside your minds, you feel an alien touch and hear an echoing hint of malevolent laughter. Eithal and Fredrock's raven scars tingle.

GM: Unfortunately, Eithal missed since the Stalker's Claw attack grants concealment when they hit(the other power didn't). Also, Stalker 1 violated Eithal's mark.

Yishim is dead(well, undead) unless someone can somehow retroactively interrupt the Stalker from doing so.

[sblock=Enemy Actions]Death Mote 1: Move to F14(5 squares up), Deathly Arc(-2 concealment): 17 Fort vs Kaz, hit, 5 necrotic damage

OOC: There's a stalker at C12 on the map but E13 according to the combat text.

[sblock=Tactics]I don't see any way for me to heal Salgyn. The F12 stalker is in the way, and I can't move past him because it would be going around a corner (rock in E11). Even if I could, one of its attacks would probably knock Toeto out.

So instead, I'll focus on the east side of the fight. Kaz, let me heal you before you post your turn (waiting on update about the stalker's position).[/sblock]

OOC: Warden's Grasp: Eithal will slide RRS1 to F4, thus nullifying his attack. Hopefully this will save Yishim.

GM: Unfortunately, that's a reaction and wouldn't trigger until after Yishim was already dead. You can do a Wardens Fury against its Gaze attack however.

When in doubt, go with the map. The mostly likely to be correct is Map then Combatants then Enemy Actions since I occasionally will notice I moved an enemy somewhere invalid and I'll fix it on the map and Combatants and forget the Enemy Actions section.

Toeto is nearly panicking at this point. She twirls around in a circle, her tail narrowly missing one of the undead, as she attempts to see what is going on. She can't quite make out what's happening through the fog to the west, but it sounds bad. She spots Fredrock in the mist and steps closer to him.

"Fredrock! Wh-what do we do?!"

Sprout is much more decisive. He springs onto the stalker that injured Kaz and rakes at it. Toeto meanwhile calls on the helpful spirits (what few there are in this place) to revive Kaz. She then braces herself for the next wave of attacks.

[sblock=Toeto stats/actions][sblock=actions]Standard: Second Wind. Toeto is at 17/38 hp, 3/10 surges, and has +2 defenses TSNT.

AP-Standard: Certain Threat vs RRS at C12 probably misses Reflex 14, but if it hits, it will be 12 damage and the stalker is marked by Sprout with a -4 penalty until the end of Toeto's next turn.

Move: Toeto shifts to D13 and Sprout walks to E12.

Minor: Healing Spirit on Kaz. He spends a surge and gains healing surge + 5, so he should be at 15/40.[/sblock][sblock=Spirit's Shield OA]Toeto can take OAs through her spirit companion if an enemy adjacent to it moves without shifting.
