Stalking the Prey, Round 3

The Motes focus on Toeto, blasting the lizard relentlessly before one of the Stalkers rushes over and tears into the Shaman.

The others blast Salgyn and another Stalker drops him before pursuing the beleaguered and critically wounded Eithal.

GM: I think conjurations still draw OAs. If not, Stalker 1 would use its Claws attack to disrupt it, then move after Eithal(same end result).

These creatures have the usual 5 radiant vulnerability and they can't use their powers to gain concealment or invisibility for a turn after hit by radiant.

Salgyn's Second Wind is also used (Eithal triggered it).

OOC: Why does Kaz have only 10/40HP? I don't see the attacks, he had 28/40 last round I believe.

Chanting a prayer to his deity, Kaz blasts holy energy down into the nearby stalker, frying its unholy undead flesh.

OOC: Conjurations don't provoke OAs. It's in a FAQ somewhere (they're not "creatures" or somesuch).

Kaz should have thoroughly murdered stalker 4, so if Toeto can shift Eithal out of the H6-J8 area, Scarm will blast that area twice (spending an AP).

I'm leaving very early in the morning so I may not have time to post, but those are my intentions :)

About Yishim: normally resurrecting characters goes pretty smoothly in L4W if the player wants it, but it seems like it's not meant to be possible in this case. Is there some way around that? (Assuming the player wants to keep going with Yishim?)

OOC: Fredrock has no damage taken currently.. got healed for 9 last round and was only down 9 at the time.

Fredrock steps up to the now visible Stalker and swings his hammer with all his might.

OOC: darn it..missed that stalker 4 has already been killed..unless the 18 missed.totally wasted the crit...redoing my actions

Hang in there Eithal, we'll get you out of this! Fredrock says as he rushes over to aid his friends, pushing the undead back with the strength of his attack

Eithal swings her axe like a girl frantically swatting at gnats. She manages to land blows on two of the ugly creatures, though not doing a whole lot of damage, "Git offah me!" Once more, she makes a break for it to avoid being overrun.[sblock=Actions]Free: Font of Life

FOTRP Bonus was added after the roll. (Sorry, forgot about it until I posted). As I understand it, concealment doesn't apply to area attacks, thus RRS1 and RRY are both hit. Right?

Sudden Roots: Whenever Eithal hits an enemy with an Opportunity Attack, that enemy is slowed until the end of its next turn.

Crushing Earthstrength: When Eithal uses her second wind, she gains a +4 bonus to her weapon damage rolls until the end of her next turn.

Guard of Stone: While Eithal is under the effect of her stone’s endurance racial power, each enemy marked by Eithal takes an additional penalty to attack rolls for attacks that don’t include Eithal as a target. The penalty equals her Constitution modifier and lasts until the end of her next turn. [/sblock]

OOC: I've been PMing w/ Iron Sky and will be hopefully resurrecting Yishim after the battle. So don't go and desecrate the body :) Of course, that's assuming you all survive this one. Good luck; I've been keeping up-to-date on the battle; sorry I'm not there to help.

Toeto lies on the ground. She reels against a throbbing pain down the length of her body. The sounds of her allies still fighting are only faintly audible, as if a conversation long past that was vaguely remembered.

Without his shaman to guide him, Sprout slips back into the spirit world. He nudges his snout at Toeto's soul - made physical in this place - but she cannot make any sort of response.

OOC: Spirit companions disappear when the shaman goes unconscious.

Mewness: If the first blast against the stalkers goes well, maybe Scarm can take out some of the death motes with the AP? They're picking us apart too, and we've been mostly ignoring them so far.

OOC: Am I missing something? I used my remaining majestic word on Eithal last round. She should have started this round at 27 HP, and it looks like she only took 5 damage this round.

And, Mewness is correct. Spirit companions and other conjurations don't trigger OAs, as they are not creatures and cannot therefore be the target of a basic attack.

GM: I seem to have screwed up people's hp this round (there's always something). I'm off to work right now, but I'll check later.

Edit: I fixed it. I applied Kaz's healing on the map, but didn't update his hp in the Combatant's section. I also forgot to note the damage Eithal took from the Terrifying Gaze that hit her.
