Ara speaks up "I will support your decision Edgar. However, it is easier to start talking and then switch to fighting than to start fighting and switch to talking."

Kuhl shrugs with his eyebrows, why not?

"We're trusting you, Meepo. How many of your group are there, do you think? I want you to be careful about your answer. If you tell us the wrong thing, then we won't be able to find your dragon."

Kuhl turns to his companions. "I probably couldn't handle more than six, if it came to it," he offers helpfully. "You've asked me along as your guide. I can't lead you here; I don't think it's safe. I will accompany you if you ask."

He turns to Meepo. "Thank you Meepo."

Edgar, Paladin 1

"Hmmm." says Egdar, only half convinced. "I think 40 kobolds may be a bit much for us, but the goblins are the reason that I came here, so I'm reluctant to pass up the chance to find out about them. You -" he points at Meepo, "Stay close to me, if you're lying to us..." he trails off.

"Yes, Meepo not lie... You see Yusdrayl, make nice." Meepo mutters. He leads you through an archway then along a long hallway with several doors. He pauses once in a while to shout, "Skeezbax!", then turns to you and says, "That is password." The corridor turns to the right, travels a bit more then opens into a larger hall running east to west..

A double row of relief-carved marble columns march the length of this long, large hall. The worn carvings depict entwining dragons. To the west, the hall ends at an archway leading to a small throne room. A short throne stands near the west wall, constructed of fallen bits of masonry stacked against an old altar. On the top of the altar sit a variety of small items. The portion of the altar that serves as the throne's back features a carving of a rearing dragon. A metallic key is held firmly in the dragon's open jaws.

A female kobold sits on the throne, wearing oversized and torn white robes. She looks puzzled at your sudden appearance. Two tough looking kobolds stand near, one to each side, and you can hear some yapping voices coming from the east.

She speaks, in surprisingly good Common, and says, "Meepo, what have you brought to my throne?"

Meepo responds, "They make nice, help us."

She turns to the party and asks, "What do you have to say for yourselves?"

Kuhl follows along, observing. Someone as nervous as Meepo obviously looks suspicious, but the queen he assesses with a steady eye: what does he think of what's going on?

OOC: Insight, if relevant: [roll0].
Does anyone speak Draconic, which might give a more favourable response?

Kuhl: Overall, the situation seems on the level. Yusdrayl is not really seeming shifty or hostile, and is asking with genuine curiosity to what you might say.
