Gul quickly ran forward, hoping to get a clear line of sight to the trolls and trusting to his arcane defenses to keep him safe.

OOC:
Going to be hard getting line of sight on them, unless they are taller than the stables?

Gul will have to double move/Dash, think he can get to AE26. Assuming Mirror Image was cast on the way out of the inn. If he is attacked, will use Shield as his reaction with a warlock slot.

Dropping the staff of the Vonindod here, so he can keep an eye on it without it encumbering him. (Pity the riding horse that normally has to take the weight of the staff and Gul in armor!)

OOC: Can Bell and Whistler be an extra move and dash ahead, since they didn't have to wake up? Maybe at the Southwest corner of the orchard? If so, great.

Bellalalalalinda can smell the trolls before she sees them. She continues running towards them, a high pitched ululation rising from her throat, like a siren. She wants to get within effective shortbow range, Whistler within rock-throwing, which I think won't be this turn (but could be. She wants to draw the trolls off form the barn, towards the orchard. "Don't get to close!" she calls to her companions behind her. "If you can burn them do so, and concentrate your fire one at a time!"

If she is in range before her dash, she will pull back an arrow and shoot.

OOC: [roll0], if a hit, damage = [roll1] (assuming giant or humanoid). Whistler will get closer.

OOC: Yes to mount in stables, yes to Bell and Whistler being ahead. Maybe something like this by the end of the round with Bell having taken her shot?

Willow freezes when she sees the trolls at the stable door. Ruckus was in there. "No," she says quietly as she starts running. "No!"

OOC: Move (Dash) to AE28.

Davaros moves forward, and tries to reason with the monsters. He shouts: "What in the world are the two of you doing? If you want to buy horses, you're surely strong enough to find a way to pay for them!"

OOC: Move to AH31
persuasion [roll0]
Action: Dodge
Bonus action: cast hunter's mark on closest troll.

Bell leads with an arrow, which a troll takes to an arm.

They both turn towards the approaching group, but then Davaros throws them a wild card. The one with the arrow in his arm pulls it out and tosses it to the ground.

"Hungry. Run all day and night."

Davaros signals to his companions not to engage them. He continues talking to them "So why would you run all day and night? And we can strike a bargain so you can earn your food. Win-win!" Davaros already thinks he knows the answer, but wants more details.

OOC: Should I roll for persasion at every sentense? The last roll was pretty good...
In case the answer is yes, here you go: [roll0]

Once the young man gets the trolls' attention, Willow slows down and stops next to him, saying a quick prayer. The Mother of the Waters would no doubt bless any attempt to talk rather than fight.

OOC: Using Guidance on Davaros. Anytime in the next minute he can add a d4 to an ability check. He can decide to use it before or after rolling the check.
