D&D 5E (IC) Vault of the Dracolich (River Gang)



Mord looks up at the buzzing sound and frowns. This boded ill. He hadn't had a cchance to recoup his powers, but felt the lingering magic of his Hex, simply waiting to be used again. He picked a bloated little body, applied his hex and took aim at it with and an adjacent creature hoping to clear out two in one salvo.

OOC: SA: Hex retarget, Action: Eblast at two targets, Move: backing up towards the wall.

Eldritch Blast(hex):: 1D20+6 = [4]+6 = 10
1D10+3+1D6 = [3]+3+[4] = 10


Eldritch Blast:: 1D20+6 = [10]+6 = 16
1D10+3 = [2]+3 = 5

OOC: Two things: Is it everyone within 30 feet of Aquaria or just adjacent to her that gets +2 Init? Also, is Auraia's wind blast do half damage on a successful save? Because that'll kill 'em if they save or not. (And this fight will be over pretty darn quickly.)
 

OOC: Everyone within 30 feet, and actually yes, it is half damage on a successful Save. So 4 damage on a successful save.

OOC: @River Song I still only have Initiative for Kurzon. I'd like to get the whole round done. You can assume that something will come close enough for him to hit in Melee, if you don't want to throw things.

Encounter: Stirges

Round One

The horrible buzzing unnerved him, as Dunmire drew his shortsword.

He saw Auraia send a gust of air which blew several of the Stirges into the lake, and they drowned, floating down toward the tunnel to the east. Then the swarm was upon them. Kurzon sliced one neatly in half and Udit poked one through the eye, but more followed. Udit slashed one that was sucking on his shoulder and fought off another.

SnorLoska had brought darts to hand, expecting to throw them, but the horrible beasts were on him so fast, he stabbed away at them instead. One was on Auraia, sucking a full pint of her blood from her. Her sister, Aquaria tried to fry it's little mind, but it resisted, so intent it was to have it's full on the windy genasi.

Mord was lucky: he managed to stay behind the others and when he saw one flying high, heading for him, he blasted it before it could get close. Dunmire was not so lucky. One was latched to his back and he swung his sword at it ineffectually while trying not to drop his lantern.

GM: That's alot of bad guys to run. Keep cutting them down! Sorry this took so long to get done.

Udit threw off the stirge trying to suck off his blood with a snarl - this reminded him of bad days on the boat. He knew their tricks!

OOC: Rogues have an ability that allows them to use a reaction check to reduce incoming by half, and Udit is using that! No time for rest of post at moment sorry
 

OOC: Auraia wants to do another wind stream. Is there a path it could take to wipe out most if not all the stirges left?

OOC: Yep. Looking at it she could get to the other side of Kurzon and get everyone. I can't imagine it would hit enemies only, though. She would get everyone other than Mord. (All the Stirges are in PC's spaces). But the fight would be over...
 

OOC: Do it. 1 point to teleport up to 20 feet as a bonus Action, and 1 point to deal [roll0] damage to everyone it hits. Sorry to everyone. They get a dex save for half.
