Legend
Lorenn & SnorLoska

Lorenn swept by the stone-faced man blocking the northern tunnel. His sword scraped along the man but left no discernible mark beyond a long cut across its clothing. As Lorenn went up the steep slope of the tunnel, he could see the shape of a Bhaalite Obelisk looming out of the darkness in the corner as the tunnel widened and twisted. With no lantern, phosphorescent fungi glowed here and there in and played havoc with his vision.

Another very minor source of light in the darkness was the Bhaalite Rune, glowing green on SnorLoska's forehead. A swirl of foul-smelling green mist swirled around him as he hacked away at the Stone-faced man. The man held up both forearms as if they were shields, and SnorLoska's sword scraped away at them, seemingly harming the man not at all.

When an opportunity presented itself as SnorLoska switched his grip, intending to come at the creature from a possibly better angle, the man slammed both hands into the half-orc's face, bruising both cheeks and leaving his ears ringing.

GM: I'm afraid they are immune to poison. They are elemental and work for a green dragon, after all.

Legend
Aquaria & Mord

The stone-faced man was ready for Aquaria's mind-tricks this time, and it managed to lock her out - an image of a stone wall appeared in her mind. Mord blasted the creature with force, and again it staggered from the blow, but it stayed standing.

The stone-faced man raised it's hands again and stones flew from the walls, battering Mord quite severely. The creature then turned it's hand over and one of the rocks raised into the air, remaining flying and animate. It rushed at Aquaria and banged off her rounded shield as she raised it. The rock then spun around behind her, flying through the air.

Looks like Zander is at I13 and about to go over the edge.

The earth melts beneath Zander's feet, he tries to jump out of the soft dirt but only manages to loose his footing and land on his rump. Then in horror he starts sliding along with the ground towards the Rift.

Legend
Terrus & Zander

As the ground slides out from under their feet, Terrus roots himself to the ground beneath, taking a few steps as the mud and earth slides past him and over the edge of the rift. Zander falls and slides past Terrus, grabbing on to the genasi's leg. His lower body goes into the watefall, and over the edge of the rift. Much to his relief, he doesn't pull Terrus in with him, but instead the large genasi stands fast, unable to move without taking them both over the edge.

Looking down, Zander can just see a pile of protruding bones sticking out from the narrowing rift sixty feet down. He'd fall quite far and be badly impaled if he were to fall - and that would be if he was lucky: the waterfall continued past that, falling into darkness, the limit of which he could only guess.

The ugly stone-faced man walked to the edge of Lorenn's grease, stopping short of it as if he knew it were there, and sent two stones flying at Zander, attempting to cause him to lose his grip on Terrus' leg. While that was happening Terrus had to deal with the flying animate rock, which smashed him in the arm as he tried to keep his footing.

GM: Terrus & Zander are going to have to roll dc13 Dex Saves again. If Terrus fails he can roll a dc12 Athletics to grab on to the ledge. If Zander fails, he falls and takes a ton of damage (I'll roll it if it happens). If Terrus makes it, he can drag Zander out if Zander is still holding onto him. Does that make sense? Go OOC if you have questions.

"Pull me up! Pull me up!" Zander yells as his feet kick wildly as they dangle over the edge of the Rift. Terrus helps the poor man to his feet beside him, and Zander then scrambles quickly as far fro the drop-off as he can get.

Mord cursed as two more stones found him. This needed to end and soon, but he'd used up all of his more powerful magic for now. A failing he intended to remedy but quick. For now, he had but one course to follow. He continued his onslaught, hoping to finish the target so that he could have a moment's relief and focus on the rest of the figjt at hand.
