The Bucks, even with Tom Brady at a new team this year he is still the best. Sad for us Pats fans, but glad to see him succeed.

Jesus. Football is still happening? I am so out of the loop. I don't have cable, and since last March I haven't even been in a restaurant to see a game being played on TV. And the friend who would usually hide his annual superb owl party obviously isn't hosting one this year.

Um, I'll go with the buccaneers. Mostly just because pirates are cool, and I'm not sure what Native Americans think about the chiefs.

Interestingly, the Buccaneers are the first team ever to play a Super Bowl in their own home stadium.

However, there've been two previous teams that've played in a Super Bowl held in their home metropolitan areas:

In Super Bowl XIV (January 1980), the Los Angeles Rams lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-19 in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

In Super Bowl XIX (January 1985), the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Miami Dolphins 38-16 in Stanford Stadium in Stanford, California.

The storyline of the aging Brady proving that he's still at the top of his game, while having a competitive shootout with a young up-and-coming (Mahomes) quarterback will attract viewership and give the audience something to get behind (without hurting the push, heat, or public appearance of either performer). From a branding and marketing standpoint, this allows Brady to go out on top (good for the brand) and allow Mahomes to come back again in future seasons as the new standard bearer of the league (good for the brand). I don't think the story is quite as compelling if Brady loses.

Also, the Chiefs aren't involved with show Ballers this year, so there's no need to have them win to maintain storyline consistency.

I hate the Bucs- Saints fan- but I want them to win. Not only would it be a victory on their home turf, it would also be the first time a QB has won it starting for a different team than his first. Kurt Warner almost did it, but his team came up just short.

Buffalo lost so I don't really care who wins. We got out played and out coached. Should've went for the touchdown instead of the field goal before the end of the first half. Though once Bass missed the extra point I had a bad feeling, Im not surprised and that game ended pretty much how I expected it would. Can't really complain though as it was the best season we've had in 25 years and it was fun while it lasted. I can see us only getting better over the next few years, though I can see Kansas City and Manholes being a thorn in our side. Having lost to Brady and the Patriots over the last 20 some years the only way I want him to win Superbowl LV is if that means he'll finally go away.

Normally I'm not really into football. But by hanging out with people, seeing it at restaurants/bars, or just listening to the radio, I'm at least conscious of who's going to be in the Big Game. This thread was a reminder that football is still happening this year. COVID quarantine sucks. I can't even enjoy the simple pleasure of running errands during playoff games to avoid lines at the store.

So, I dunno, the Chefs?

It was a joke in 1997, but I'd be in support of formally renaming the team today.

Bucs. Why? Because I am one of seven fans in California that have followed them since they started. All because my first youth soccer team was named the Buccaneers. It’s nice to be back in the Super Bowl!

Just imagine what Gronk is feeling right about now.

Tom Brady's long-time Patriots teammate Rob Gronkowski retired after winning the Super Bowl two years ago, then unretired for this season and joined Brady with the Buccaneers, only to now be be playing in another Super Bowl with him.
