D&D 5E New Vecna Battle (Let's Get Ready to RUMBLE!!!) - CONCLUDED

Deja vu. This conversation came up before recently, somewhere. It was inconclusive then too (in that some DMs rule one way and some the other). Sounds like our DM says they're undead, even after they're killed. Seems reasonable to me. No rule says they revert. OTOH a "dead undead" sounds silly, so I get where the other side comes from. I guess at that point it becomes a "destroyed undead" or a "necromantically tainted corpse".

Yeah, since other more powerful spells specify returning an undead creature to its previous state, Revivify won't do that.

It will however, restore an undead back to "undeath" (?) if it is "killed" (again?). ;)

Also, @FitzTheRuke, Venca has stabbed you twice and I am waiting to see if you want to do anything about it with Pyre or just take the damage??? Please let me know so I can move things along.

Hmm... I missed that somehow. I will use my reaction to uncanny dodge one of the attacks (half damage).

4.4.12 (Vecna Con't) With a cruel laugh, Vecna raises a hand, "ARISE and serve me!"

To the heroes horror, Ezabard rises up as a zombie!

Vecna turns on Pyre, "Now it is your turn..." and stabs at Pyre with Afterthought, hitting twice! (5+13=18, 6+13=19 vs. AC 17). Pyre twists to avoid much of the first strike, and takes 5 damage (half 10, 7 piercing + 3 (half 7) necrotic) from the first attack but 12 damage (8 piercing + 4 (half 8) necrotic) from the second hit!

The archlich then steps next to the altar and teleports, disappearing from sight!

@Smythe the Bard it is now Vyrlim's Turn on Initiative 2. For some reason, the character sheet link to DNDBeyond isn't working. So, Smythe if you can't get the character, you can use your Paladin from the other fight (you had one IIRC).

Still have V's CS 😌 "You killed Ezzy, you medieval 🔼ik-weed!".... and I'll put Ezzy out of our misery (sorry) and then attack Shadow Yellow, and with a Parn like yell attempt to get to Red & Green.

I wonder why it is still showing up for you, but I am glad it is!

You'll have to post screen shots or something, since otherwise I don't know his attack bonus, saves, AC, or anything. :)

Poor Ezabard, doesn't even get to act as a zombie... Oh well.
