  • Speed of digital can expand, yearly book model to include current digital style models.
  • Reach highly engaged multigenerational fans.
  • Dungeons and Dragons has recognition, 10 out of 10
  • Cultural phenomenon right now.
  • DND strategy is a broad four quadrant strategy
  • Like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings or Marvel

I honestly can't imagine WotC not saying at some point that they're only going to sell through D&D Beyond.
'at some point' is a pretty long time, so you are probably right.

The next question then is does this only affect new modules or do they terminate the license and FG has to take down the old modules as a consequence.

As long as FG can keep hosting the old ones I do not see all that much problem with this. I am sure some people will complain, they always do, but nothing compared to the complains they would get it FG has to remove the modules you bought ;)

Why wouldn't they terminate the licenses? If the only place you can buy official D&D online content is DDB, guess where people will go? Brand identity will draw them like a moth to a flame.
