Mando season 3

It's also worth noting that Luke managed to destroy the first Death Star between 15 and 90 hours after he started his Jedi training (depending on how long you think it took to get to Alderaan). And he clearly wasn't training 24 hours/day, either. So apparently for some Force users it doesn't take a huge amount of training in terms of time. I'm not sure Rey shows any precognitive powers as impressive as that shot, either.

I'd suggest Rey also had a fundamentally better mindset for light-side Force powers than Luke, too, as she had far fewer anger issues, and wasn't really tempted by the Dark Side significantly (indeed she did more tempting of Ren to the Light Side).

(Some people use ancient Legends bollocks to try and claim Luke had "years" of "secret" training from Obi-Wan, but it's all utterly non-canon nonsense that doesn't even fit with the movies nor the Obi-Wan show.)
I think the difference is that Luke really needed a tiny bit of help by the force - hitting a target of the size of the vent was something he already considered possible from personal experience...

Rey really improvised a mind trick on the fly, and her skills of persuasion depicted before were barely enough to get food rations from some salvage... It seems there is a magnitude of difference. But meh, who cares about that old discussion?

EDIT - Also re: "lowest of the low" discussion re: Anakin, it's notable that Rey had a far harder life than Anakin did.
True. Anakin might have been a slave and all, but he had spare time and resources to build a droid and some speedracer thingy.

To be fair the timeline of stuff in the 5 years or so BBY and 10 or so years ABY is pretty confusing, especially as there are next to zero aesthetic cues.
The timeline has me all twisted around, at this point.

Andor and Rebels both start 5 years before ANH. Mandalorian seasons 1 and 2 are 5 years after RotJ, so about 9 years after ANH. And there is a 2-year time jump from when Grogo goes with Luke at the end if season 2 to when he returns to Din at the end of Boba Fett. Ahsoka could match Mando season 3 for current year or it could take place in the years between the end of Rebels and her first appearance in Mandalorian.

This looked helpful.

Do you have a source for this? I have not heard that anywhere, and I certainly did not get the impression that Grogu was with Luke more than a couple months at most.
