D&D General DALL·E 3 does amazing D&D art

My D&D game is set in Andrew Kolb's OZ, and there really isn't a defined pantheon. The closest thing to a religious figure is the Fairy Queen Lurline, who acts as a creator figure.

So, Gary Gygax for some reason has a sections on trees in the World of Greyhawk boxset and folio. One of those was the completely made up Ipp tree and its taller cousin, the Ipt Tree. I took his text (see below) and put it into a default GPT-4 and asked it to expand on the lore from the sparse write up...

Gygax's origional write up: Ipp trees are among the largest known. They average 60 feet or more in height and have thick trunks. The ipt, a species of ipp, is larger still, and is a favorite of Sylvan Elves. Ipps have greenish bark and large, hand-shaped leaves of emerald green. These trees will live for centuries and are seldom attacked by insects or disease.

Side Note: This is passing strange to me that 60 ft. (18.29 m) is considered one of the largest trees by him, Douglass firs in Oregon reach over a 100 ft. (30.48 m) and the Redwoods of the Oregon/California coasts reach a staggering 300 feet (91.44 m) in height. Shrug. I can always upscale the Ipp and Ipt trees size.

So, I fed this to GPT and it spit out the following...

I then let DALL-E create prompts based upon this and generated the following.

NOTE: I put the wrong image before, hand shaped leaves look like this.

Now I am not saying this is the end all and be all of what an Ipp or Ipt tree could look like, but it is nice to put an image to something that was just a simple text of a couple of sentences...

Phost Trees from the World of Greyhawk boxset: Phost tress a similar to oaks, except their bark is quite shaggy and leaves are twice as broad as they are long. The wood of the phost gives off a soft glow when it has been dead for a year or so. This radiance is sufficient to light a 5-foot radius around a branch or rotting phostwood trunk. Rough handling or exposure to dampness hastens the rotting process, so that the wood will crumble away in a few months.

Usk tree produces a blue Uskfruit...

World of Greyhawk Box Set: Usk trees are very thick, tall hardwoods with huge oblong leaves and an edible fruit much loved by most creatures. Typical specimens of usk are 8 to 9 feet in diameter and 50 to 60 feet tall. The tree is similar to a maple in shape. The huge leaves are tough and flexible, so they can be used for many purposes. Uskfruit appears in early summer and stays until frost. It is pale blue with three or four lobes. A ripe uskfruit is about the size of a large grapefruit, bright blue, and aromatic.
