Errr I love wizards in D&D but floating staff is not a common thing for wizards?Everything looks more rad floating. We didn't make the rules here.
But I'm guessing the reason it is floating us that she is a wizard.
She is wearing magnetic glasses of staff levitation.Errr I love wizards in D&D but floating staff is not a common thing for wizards?

Yep, agreed.Honestly, I'd say this is less for style and more the artist just missing the detail of the warping the glasses would make behind the lenses. I wear glasses and I'd make the same mistake.
For better or worse LOL!Good lord, 102 pages of posts on one image. Any artist should be proud that their art evokes this much discussion. If nothing else, WotC's art director is doing a good job in getting people talking about the new books.
Your point? You may not be able to understand it, but it’s a fact that there are loads of people who are not fictional, and could easily afford eye surgery, who prefer to wear glasses.
Nope, didn't forget it. I brought up Presto quite a while back---to emphasize how he generally reacts when he loses his glasses, which is not good more often than not. In fact, there was only one episode I can think of (S1.E9 Quest of the Skeleton Warrior) does he show courage when he loses his glasses.By the way, everyone seems to be forgetting that one of the earliest pop culture D&D wizards, the one from the '80s cartoon, wore glasses.
Preach, man, preach! At some point you would think it would sink in...Yeah, though for the most part, the same things have been said over and over and over.

It is surprising that the "Rock" Gnome is the domestic fey. Then again, this is the bedrock that a house and farm are on top of, can make sense. An interesting thing about this thread is that it made me appreciate how good the changes to the Rock Gnome for the 2024 edition are. Now they are the iconic domestic fey; able to magically repair, clean and tidy up around the house.

Or (more likely IMO) it just means the artist overlooked that detail. The fact the lenses are flat and dont distort the size of the eyes and outline of the side of the head, means they dont correct vision.
Presumably these glasses are magic items that visually grant some form of magical sight. Glasses might transmit any of various kinds of information.
