So because I was going to the area, I decided to look into that “find and kill Pyro” quest that had been sitting in my quest log since I first left Vault 114.

When I got near the area, it said the quest was completed. I looked around and found Pyro already dead on the ground! I looted his hellfire armor and then soon after ended up at the ironworks, where I got ambushed by Enclave troops. I tracked them to a nearby camp, where I killed another guy in even better hellfire armor. I’ve since upgraded that, and it looks stat-wise like it’s even better than the X-02 armor.

This is the new content from the update, right?

Idk there's hellfire armor now?

Yes, it is.
Can settlers die when you move them from one settlement to another? I reassigned a few settlers, and then I fast traveled to their destination, but they never showed up. (I rested a few in-game hours.)
Characters travelling between settlements are subject to the same dangers of the wastes as you are - but only if the cells they're walking through are currently loaded in (i.e. you're nearby). If you stay clear of the path between the two settlements, they should be fine.

I fast traveled between the two settlements, but the settlers have just vanished. I had tried sending some settlers from Starlight to the nursery. While I was at Starlight, the nursery’s population went up to 5 on my pip-boy map, but after I fast traveled there, it was back at 2, but the missing settlers hadn’t been added back to Starlight’s numbers.

Feck it. Just started a play through - it's been a while since last time - with the intention of going melee since I've never played that style.

But I hardly entered Sanctuary before my brain started to mess with me. "Nah, let's do another stealth vats pistol build, it's so much fun, blah blah blah". And that's how I started building the char, hello Deliverer my old friend I guess.

In every game where it's an option I play distance builds, be it bow dudes, wizards or whatnot. And I simply cannot go for a play style and build where I willingly on purpose stick my head within reach for a super mutants fist. Yes, I know that blitz VATS melee do uberdamage and is OP, it doesn't help.

Blitz melee is tge go to on survival mode.

Blitz Ninja is OP vs single targets maybe two but high agility requirements limit your strength and intelligence scores.
Later on when you add booze and psychobuff/bufftats.....

Toughest creature in the game is one of thise fog crawlers iirc. Bye bye.

My last build was a runner. 10 endurance, moderate agility every thing else dump stat 1-3.

18 endurance sprint from Lexington to Sanctuary. 21 at will sprinting.
Going to update the game. Suggestions in what to do;).

I prefer distance builds in video games but that's primarily because I find melee never really works that well for me in a FPS setup. Games like Jedi: Fallen Order / Survivor are an exception, because they are built to make it a little easier to hit things with a lightsaber, but in other games, I just find it so much easier to point and shoot than try to aim a melee weapon.

That being said, I am quickly learning that you can't just point and shoot and always expect to hit something in Fallout 4. Those dastardly deathclaws and their zig-zagging, for instance! But also, range and accuracy are a real thing. I'll have my mouse hovering over an enemy's head but my shot will go wide. And then sometimes a stupid wall or railing gets in the way.

I have not been that impressed with the VATS system so far. I tend to miss with it more often than when I just shoot normally. That might be because of how I've built my character with low Luck and such, I don't know.

My Greygarden build number I have no idea, video to follow at a later date

Wow! You've put a lot of effort into that! My settlements look so slapdash and crappy compared to that.

I wish you could just rebuild the houses. I know whenever I visit Sanctuary, I can see people like Sturges hammering the outside walls of the houses, but they don't ever really seem to make any progress. There are still big holes and such.

I did just make myself a nice little vendor station in Sanctuary complete with fairy lights.

I've been getting annoyed by the sound of the generators, though, and it only just occurred to me that I could place them farther away and then string power lines into the habitable areas. I'd rather not have power lines everywhere, though. (I've been getting used to how most power lines are buried here in Auckland ...)

Mods help lol
