Fighting the Gray Tide (Miniature Painting)

Another touch up on an old mini. It always bothered me that there was no variation in fur color so I lightened up the belly. I also applied an matte varnish because the old one was too shiny.

Are you using Army Painter matte varnish? I've used it out of a rattle can, and I find after it sets, the mini just ends up looking glossier than it did before.

I was getting ready to pick up some Army Painter matte varnish, I'm anxious to hear the answer here. Sounds like I need to potentially shop around some more.

This is a little experiment before I try it on a larger scale. The little rolling pin is designed to be used to leave little flag stone impressions. I used Milliput.
