Are you using Army Painter matte varnish? I've used it out of a rattle can, and I find after it sets, the mini just ends up looking glossier than it did before.

I was getting ready to pick up some Army Painter matte varnish, I'm anxious to hear the answer here. Sounds like I need to potentially shop around some more.

For this model I originally used Army Painter Satin but I just now used Army Painter Anti-Shine Matte. I had been using some Mr. Super Clear Matt and it's been leaving my models really, really shiny.
