Which one do you prefer your character suffer? Death vs Rust Monster vs Level Drain

I voted death. First, gear is extremely important, even more so than a single level difference if I can't get a True Res. Second, even if I don't get a resurrection, I have so many backup character concepts that I won't ever run out. Third, level drain is a really, really, really unfun...

How were you introduced to RPGs?

I voted for "through friends", but that is only partially true. When I was in 4-6th grade, I played a ton of HeroQuest with my friends. My friend stumbled across the Rifts RPG book while at Barnes and Nobles one day, bought it because it looked cool, and we played later that week. So, yeah...

4E Class Survivor - Round 14 (We now have the final 5)

Still voting off the Wizard. Sad to see Barb likely to go, since it's a major terror on the battlefield.

    4E Class Survivor - Round 13

Time for the poor man's Sorcerer, aka the Wizard, to make his exit. :p

arguing with my DM: The Leadership feat(and a wizard)

If "Savant Mind" is a feat that your character took that was created by the GM, I would remind my fellow posters that there is precident for such a feat. In Complete Adventurer, there is a feat called "Force of Personality" (IIRC) that allows you to use your CHA bonus instead of your WIS bonus...

(sub) Dungeon -Deities and Demigods: The Raven Queen

First, I haven't read the article yet. I plan to in the next few days. That said, reading the side bars in Divine Power gave a pretty good indication that the Raven Queen leaned more towards the Evil side of Unaligned than the Good side. She seemed like the archetypical ambitious human...

    4E Class Survivor - Round 12

I voted for the Wizard this time, mostly because of my personal dislike in playing controllers. That said, every class remaining I actually like and would personally play. IMHO, Wizards are best at their role, and Orbizards can nullify even the toughest foes by themselves and I'd welcome...

When Was Your Last 2e Experience?

It was 1 week prior to 3rd Editions launch. We switched from 2nd to 3rd the week it launched. We also learned Cave Bears do not equal Dire Bears. Especially if the Dire Bear can move and make a full attack on the same turn (oops, new system blues). I LIKED that PC.

    4E Class Survivor - Round 12

Not sure if it's intended, but this is a multi-choice poll. I refrained from voting until you can confirm one way or the other if this is intended.

    Thank You

Whoever replaces you has very large shoes to fill. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

    4E Class Survivor - Round 11

I'm voting the Druid off the island again. Viva Avenger!

4E Class Survivor - Round 10 (make your prediction)

Yeah, I counted 37 names for the Swordmage, which would make it the high tally. (But you can eliminate the druid and I won't tell ;p)

4e Warlocks - How Would You Fix Them?

Wish upon a Star corrected most of the problems with Starlocks, IMO. Sure, I bought double 18s to start with (Half-Elf, +2 in each primary stat is sexy), so that means I get the pick of the litter when it comes to powers. That said, I'm hardly targeted. I wander around the battlefield, cursing...

4E Class Survivor - Round 10 (make your prediction)

Top 3 vote getters (with names attached to them), in order: Swordmage Druid Avenger Looks like the Druid and Avenger live to fight another day. Farewell Swordmage, apparently hosing solo monsters isn't good enough for some people.

4E Class Survivor - Round 10 (make your prediction)

For this round, I voted off the Druid. Played the class in two of the hour long Dungeon crawls at Gen Con. Thought it was ok. Lots of interesting things to do, but felt underpowered compared to the Barbarian and Sorc. That said, of all the class roles, I'm least fond of the controller. So...

    4E Classes You Like

Voted for everything except Artificer, Druid, Invoker, Paladin, and Warden. Even then, I could be talked into them all (except the Warden).

4E Class Survivor - Round 9 (The top ten classes)

I voted off the paladin this time. It basically only came down to the fact that it needed a supplemental book to fix the problems PHB 1 created with their marking abilities.

D&D 4E Should spellcasters still be priority targets in 4e?

I've played in 4 4ed ed campaings plus the big DnD Open at Gen-Con. I've been a leader in 3 of those, a defender in one, and a Warlock in the last (which is like a controller/striker hybrid). I've also DM'd a 4th Ed campaign. If you want to watch the party squirm, focus fire the healer. I...

Maze spell: do you allow it?

Maze is fine, l2play. Nerf SR. K thanks bye. Er, sorry, wrong forums. In all honesty, there are much worse spells at 8th level. I've really not seen anyone use maze except as a means of then using teleport to escape. At 8th level, there are some killer spells much more damaging than Maze.

    4E Class Survivor - Round 8

I almost didn't know what to vote for, seeing as I've been riding the Warden train for the last seven rounds. Then I remembered that I liked the Invoker almost as much as the Warden. Anything you can do, the Wizard can do better. As an aside, I approve being able to see who voted for what...
