    Game Wizards: An In-Depth Review

Well, met both individuals at various cons several times. My experiences were only negative with Gygax, the opposite was true with Arneson, so as a young man I was definitely in the Arneson camp. With more life experience, I can see the broader picture.

Edge Announced It Will Be Making Star Wars RPGs....

I don't live in OR, but I did buy both lines, pretty much every book. My D&D group enjoyed AiME, but that group dissolved during COVID. Looking forward to 2e of both. Backed One Ring, so I have the PDFs. Will probably do the same with AiME 2e. I have a pretty huge collection of FFG SW books and...

Edge Announced It Will Be Making Star Wars RPGs....

Guessing they plan to release a 5e version eventually, like they are with L5R, and develop them parallel like they are with L5R? Might be rather complicated considering the licensing, but they would be stupid not to, if they like money. Take the most popular IP and marry it with the most popular...

    D&D 5E (2014) D&D Books Delayed By The Shipocalypse

This all day long. In the US our children and grandchildren will pay the price of our greed in many ways.

You heard it here first Advanced Dungeon and Dragons, coming soon.

Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game Kickstarter is live!

As I said before that's their crowd right there. Very smart marketing. As Umbran said, they make up the majority of the D&D crowd now. Grognards that complain about the current trajectory of D&D, need to understand this. Wizards is well aware of the changing dynamic. Millennials are much more...

Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game Kickstarter is live!

LotR might be more popular in our age group, I am Gen X. It is not more popular among millennials. One thing we are seeing here is the huge population growth with the millennial generation. Anime and manga are hugely popular with that generation. Many were introduced to RPGs via CriticalRole...

Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game Kickstarter is live!

Avatar is much more popular than Tolkien, with a younger generation especially. My kids are all late teens and early twenties. They have literally watched the series all the way through several times. They made me download the starter rules. Guess what I am running next week, lol. Having never...

Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game Kickstarter is live!

I have never ever run PbtA, but my kids and wife are so damn excited for this, so I am an Otter-penguin. They will probably convince me to get the special edition.

TSR TSR3 Blames Widespread Pushback On WotC

Right and wrong are subjective. Even those of us that are on the spectrum should take the time to take a good look at ourselves and see how we can change to better fit into society and promote a positive influence on those we come in contact with. It would appear that several folks involved with...

TSR TSR3 Blames Widespread Pushback On WotC

I seriously doubt that being called out for being a bully is as mentally harming as being told your gender identity is wrong and a mental illness. I have yet to see examples of Ernie being bullied. Calling some one a bigot because they made bigoted statements doesn't qualify as online...

TSR Companies & Freelancers Distance Themselves From The New TSR

Having attended GenCon since the '80s, I had a few opportunities to be in Gary and his groups orbit. None of these experiences were positive. I will not speak bad of the dead, he was a very intelligent man in certain silos. I would venture that with Ernie that the apple doesn't fall far from the...

D&D 5E (2014) Ray Winninger mentions third project!

I could dig Spelljammer adventure. The actual ship that gave the setting its name. The party wakes up on board, perhaps even from different settings/spheres, they don't know each other but are thrown together. They can't control the ship. Would be easy to railroad the party and introduce them to...

    D&D 5E (2014) New WotC Survey! Learn About A New D&D Product!

I had to double check the Twitter link half way through to make sure that I didn't click some third party trash link. That survey was terrible. I believe that you didn't get the advertisement for their new VTT if you chose that you are already a Beyond subscriber. Which seems weird. I would...

D&D 5E (2014) Ray Winninger mentions third project!

We are more likely to get a Pathfinder setting than a Dragonlance setting. There are good reasons that we haven't received a decent Greyhawk or Dragonlance setting since 2e. I am aware of third party DL in 3e and Living Greyhawk etc. in 3e. Neither did very well at all. Don't get me wrong, I...

D&D 5E (2014) Ray Winninger mentions third project!

I run a couple groups with folks in their early twenties and late teens. I would say that anything post apocalypse is a shoe in. They have no idea what Dark Sun is but guessing it's a definitely on WoTC's radar.
