One of the things I hope that the 5th ed Monster Manual does is bring back physical descriptons. The Monster Manual for 4th edition is one of the worst offenders in not providing any written details on the monsters. Sure, we have the art but once you show a picture to a player, they'll always...
I was just pinging away on Twitter some things I'd like to see D&D next do with miniatures.
1. No core races that are only available as rare or very rare or not available at all without substitutions.
2. No competiting miniature game that has larger sums of cash prize money and uses roughtly...
Now that 4e is on the end of its cycle, can we get some non-random collections of the various card sets that have been out for those who were interested in them but refused to support random purchases? When TSR had random card packs for their little collectable line, they put together 'sleeves'...
$30 for the Nordland styled Empire Riflemen (16 0f 'em) includings shipping and handling to US with delivery confirmation #
$50 for 20 Zombies for Vampire Counts including shipping and handling to US with delivery confirmation.
$70 for both.
Cambions are half demons.
Dhampyrs are half vampires.
Half Orcs, Half Elves, Half Ogres, etc... have very generic and boring names.
Either make them so extremely rare that you eliminate villages of them or give them an actual racial name.
Opinions?
One of the things that's been lacking in D&D, in terms of challenging the status quo, is the thinking. Everything is done up in modern terms in view of how people act, how they treat each other, etc...
Sure, the occassional dwarf elf thing, or now the tielfling dragonborn thing may pop up but...
Here's one I think the answer to will be interesting.
With all the talk of everyone and their moma having a seat at the table, how does that work when the basic fundamentals of player advancement are vastly different? Prior to 3rd edition, xp was not necessarily gained through just slaughter...
I just finished K. J. Parker's The Hammer. Like the previous book by Parker I read, The Folding Knife, the main characters are very innovative.
And it strikes me, that to me, part of the problem in D&D is that with some of their settings, even the POL ones, that too much is already done and...
Over at RPG.net, I noted that one of the edition free things that WotC can do to insure more 'smooth' is make sure that when they do things like boxed sets, that they are actual boxed sets.
The few ones they made were pretty bad. And others on that site noted that those weren't the only issues...
One of the things I've speculated about in the past, is that eventually, WoTC will make the magazine something that can only be viewed online.
This technology apparently exist as there are several comic companies that already do it.
But what if, in their desire to bring the edition to all...
As the new year starts, I'm trying to organize my personal life into enough sense that I can get some gaming and tabletop playing in this year.
I've been keeping abreast of Pathfinder, even picked up Bestiary 3 which still has quite a few nods to older editions with some of the monster...
I have the six books. I have the dice! I have the cards.
Is there anything else that would assist in running this? Any regional sourcebooks or player books that provide a helping hand?
Figured I'd start a new thread as the old ones have fallen off the page:
1. In terms of epic support, wouldn't one of the easiest ways to do this, at least for monsters, be to update material like Legends and Lore where whole pantheons could be updated?
2. The new monster book seems to...
On a few blogs and other spots, I've seen some nonsense that I, Joe Kushner, am using another id, FASERIP, as a sock puppet.
Anyone know how that started or how to put an end to it?
Mods, if this is in the wrong forum, please move it. Thanks.

M'eh?
Neverwitner nights essentially a heroic adventure?
Madness a heroic adventure?
More cards?
If epic support, hell paragon support, ain't dead, it on life support.
The main difference between the two is a small piece at one of the ends is broken. No identifying marks on the book shelf so I have no clue where I can get a repalcement piece. This look familair to anyone? Anyone have any ideas?
Figured I'd start another thread since the last one seems to have fallen off the edge of the world.
1. Are there any plans to do a compendium style book of magic items similiar to the ones done for third and second edition?
2. What's up with the boxes? The Shadowfell was like a cereal box and...
