In honor of Gary's death, I'm preparing a 1st edition Greyhawk campaign made up entirely of the classic modules. Any advice on which ones are -mandatory- and what order in which to run them?

Are there significant differences between the 1980 folio and the 1983 boxed set? I have the latter but not the former and am working on running Gary's best-known work in the context for which they were designed. Is there any reason at all to pay $25 or so for the 1980 folio? Thanks in advance...

I think what they are aiming for is tons of options for character creation and advancement (100 ways to play your fighter) but once those options are selected, the actual use of them at the table will go very quickly.

Oddly enough, I am thinking pretty seriously about buying the Rules Compendium when it comes out now and I know I wouldn't have bought it without the 4e announcement. Now I know that there won't be more errata or additions to 3e so the Compendium is essentially all of 3.5 in a single volume.
