    Races/Species & Traditions/Careers Master List

Good idea! What is the likelihood that this will be Stickied? (Or do we have to mercilessly bump this thread for eternity? ;))

Creatures and Cultures: divvying it up a bit more

I hadn't thought of that.. (Hmmmmmm.) Morrus makes a good point though, that Tradition names don't have to be so restrictive (I actually had to do quite a lot of liberating of Tradition names with my first playtest group). I guess in the particularly strange instance that you have a group of...

Creatures and Cultures: divvying it up a bit more

(Emphasis mine.) I think W.O.I.N. is actually more flexible than that as a system... even though I ran into similar problems with playtesting character creation, myself. But I think the problem is not the root race stats, it is just that we have a limited pool of Traditions / Careers to choose...

    Suggest your WOIN intersections

O.L.D./N.O.W. and later O.L.D./N.E.W. - I like settings that see the continuation of the stories of fantasy civilization into the tech ages. I think O.L.D. can handle the steampunk stuff almost on its own... but then after that you get military convoy trucks full of orcs with assault rifles...

    O.L.D. & N.E.W. Errata Thread

I get what you mean. Personally, I'm okay with this discrepancy. It's not a real huge exploit / punishment, and it gives the gamier players a chance to feel satisfied that they optimized their planning.

    A Necromonicon

:D I am gobbling this stuff up. I don't think I'll regret upgrading for the OLD Bestiary hard copy.

A Tradition I've Been Working On

This is pretty cool. Re: License concerns, if you've been working on this for that long (and with a friend, no less), I can certainly understand the hesitation. Appreciate your sharing. :)

    OLD Guns

Of course it is! That's another one of the great things I appreciate about this game - it's very easy to customize. Naturally, I planned on implementing these changes in my own game asap. However, as a playtester, just putting in my two-cents hoping I can point out something that looks to me...

    OLD Guns

Honestly I hadn't compared and that's a fair point. (BUT...) That might not be as crazy as it sounds. (I suppose I'm picturing "arquebus" as similar to "blunderbus", as Khaalis pleasingly reminded of this awesome word) Consider modern assault rifles. I would not rate these weapons as having as...

    OLD Guns

I agree completely that accuracy should be the fundamental mechanic in an attack, and I love the trade off function of attack dice : damage dice.. My point was not necessarily that the stats should be more exact according to history, but that there should be some trade offs and consistency...

Working on a Spreadsheet Character Generator

Got the ODS version to work in LibreOffice. Nice! Also, surprisingly, got some limited functionality on my Android with Kingsoft Office and the xlsx version.

    OLD Guns

Feels like kind of a nitpick to be pointing out since this is the playtest doc with obvious limitations, but I have a Pathfinder converted player who used to be a Gunslinger who has pointed out to me the default stats for the few guns in the OLD doc are a little off. Damage Well, unless...

    Some new O.L.D. races

Cool stuff TiwazTyrsfist. Not something I would have imagined before. I especially like how they're not presented as an "evil" race, but there's a potentially profitable motive for murdering them. lol.
