That's a change too! Before, Shadow Shift was "effective only in shadowy areas". It also wasn't a free action, so the 1d4-round blur effect was very pointless.

This reminds me of my "I don't like my Christmas present!" thread. Basically it's near-impossible for a GM to give out treasure that actually makes a player happy, due to Monty Haul fears, wealth by level tables, and party sharing needs. It's sad but true, and I haven't found a fix for it yet.

Sure the SRD section on concealment doesn't mention spells, but it doesn't mention them for total concealment either and we know that matters.

Nobody ever answered that last question in this old thread. I want to know if 20% concealment works against targeted spells like Charm Person (not rays).
