[Eberron] Good music for a BBEG?

I'm looking for music that plays when my BBEG is around. He's going to a Rakshasa exarch seeking to unleash multiple Rakshasa's on the world while it's eyes are turned towards the threat of a Xoriat invasion. What I'm looking for is a song that communicates, without words because those tend to...

D&D 5E Warforged, Changelings, and Thri Kreen in the PHB?

I hear a lot of words and noise about this system being universal and all inclusive for D&D players, but from what I've so far all inclusive seems to mean "You are welcome to play, but it has to be our way." That doesn't seem right. Why is it that the only type of gaming being included in Next...

    Eladrin Swordmage Advance

It reads: When you use your fey step racial power to teleport to a square adjacent to an enemy, you can make a melee basic attack against that enemy as a free action. ...Does this seem insane to anyone else? If you fey step adjacent to three enemies you get three basic attacks! Is this how it...

    D&D 5E Dinosaurs in 5E?

I really hope we go back to the real world naming conventions that early 3.5/before used instead of the "Angrytooth Drake and Trihorn Behemoth" naming convention that took over after MM3 in 3.5 and is still in use in 4E. What's everyone else's feelings on the naming conventions of dinosaurs in...

What is the best way to handle a chase scene?

So my PC's are now running away from the Goblin King and his forces. They are fleeing the Winterbole Forest at high speed on three caravan carts. How would you suggest I run such an encounter? I don't even know where to begin on the scripting....

    D&D 5E Everything aboot 5E looks boring.

I don't see anything currently worth my money. The classes look boring, the races look boring, and the monsters in the bestiary look boring. I've put aboot 12 hours of testing into it too and it's really, really boring at the table. I don't want a boring edition of D&D =(

What kind of skills would make up this skill challenge? Negotiations with a Goblin?

So last session the PC's had cleansed a mine of Kobolds and chased it's sorcerer into the Goblin King's territory. After a rather rough fight they ended up killing her and leaving back to the village. The Goblin King has kinda been irked by this. He doesn't like trespasser's into his territory...

D&D 5E Racial restrictions on Dragonmarks in 5E?

In 3.5 when Eberron was first introduced each of the dragonmarks were initially limited to one (or two for one of them) race each. For example only Halflings could have the Dragonmark of Hospitality while Elves got the Shadow dragonmark and Humans got a metric :):):):) ton of them. In 4E they...

    So...where does retraining fit in?

It was a pretty big part of 4E, and was an option in 3.5 as well. Not sure about it's role in editions prior to 3.5, but I feel that's it is an essential part of the game. People shouldn't be locked into the character they want to play just because they picked a class two years a go, eh?

Has there been any word on the Something Awful leak?

Has it been discredited or is it actually legit?

Throwing down the Tyranny of the Spellcaster.

As per poll above: There are several ways to nerf magic-users. As a wizard/sorcerer/etc. player, which of the following appeals most to you: Limiting Options In this option, we constrain all wizard classes to narrow thematic bands, such as "Elementalist" or "Necromancer". Fighters suddenly...

    Retraining?

Do you think retraining should be in the new edition of D&D? I think it should be in 5E and be allowed at a greater rate than what was done in 4E. Retraining allows people the option to not have to start a new character every time WotC puts out a splat book and there shouldn't be a "Only...

    Gunslinger in core?

The gunslinger was introduced to Pathfinder a while back with the Ultimate Combat supplement and it's been a popular addition to D&D. Even before Paizo introduced it there was a large calling among fans for firearm rules (especially in Eberron) I think it should be core in 5E to prove that WotC...

    D&D 3E/3.5 5E Eberron - should it be closer to 3.5E or 4E/

I'm talking about the hamfisted way they forced the 4E races like Tieflings, Dragonborn, and Eladrin into Eberron + the changes to dragonmarks specifically. Opinions? Should Eberron be retconned in 5E?

    Eberron?

Any word on it's role in 5E/how close to launch we can expect support for it?

How would you design this encounter?

The PC's are racing another adventuring group to find the attack plans of an evil warlord. The warlord is a giant. And he is big enough to make the airships that both parties are using look like a dragonfly in comparison. The key to get into the container containing the invasion plans was...

D&D 4E WotC this is something you absolutely cannot screw up in 5E like you screwed up in 4E

Dinosaur names. Seriously stuff like Thunderstomper Drake and Macetail Behemoth...that needs to stop. Just call them by their latin names. It's easier and looks less lame / counter intuitive.

    Better modules please.

The last four years have been nothing but horrible module after horrible module. WotC: You can do better. If you are going to shove a new edition down our throats it's essential that you start doing better when it comes to adventure modules. Even the best 4E modules made by WotC are still crap...

D&D 4E Is Paizo ever going to shore up it's online support for Pathfinder like 4E does?

I know they offer a lot of PDF support and such and that's really cool but what Pathfinder really needs is an online character builder/adventure tools/virtual table like WotC offers. It would really help on prep time.

Something that made me mad about the latest book.

The dimetrodon is NOT a dinosaur.
