More and more, I don't want to be an American. We're going crazy on so many different fronts. Oh, and we're fat -- which means the women are fat, too.

Forgot to say earlier...

By the way, obesity seems to be on the rise in many or most First World nations, yes, but let's be careful with generalizations about a people (any people). Thanks. :)

It's a bad sign when people are eating food for bragging rights as opposed to taste or health. :\

Surely you've seen those steak houses with the "72-OUNCE STEAK - IF YOU CAN EAT IT ALL IN ONE SITTING, IT'S FREE!" deals? :) People have been doing it for years, now. It's the fast-food version of that ungodly thing. After all, that 15 lbs. is probably BEFORE cooking, which means it's probably 7 pounds afterward... :D

Still 7 pounds is still INSANITY!!! One of those burgers would feed me most of the week, and I used to be able to pack it down at the table.

Never said it wasn't insane, just that it's not a NEW bad sign, only one of the old ones rehashed. :D I couldn't eat more than a half-pound to 10 ounces of steak, or about 4 to 6 ounces of hamburger in a sitting, anyway.

That burger sounds cool, but not to eat alone...take a few friends and share it. By yourself...ick.

But anything made that large is made strickly to be big, no thought is given to how it would actually taste. Why bother eating it, even with frineds? I'd rather have a small, well made burger with lots of flavor that some "thing" that someone decided would be good for publicity and threw together but is made of cheap ingrediants.

In the US, we buy based on "How much can i get for the least amount of money?" not "What is the best that my money can buy?" It happens with everything: food, cars, clothes... We buy crap, then complain when it makes us sick or it falls apart.
