What's the point in keeping a database of old threads if they aren't able to be bumped?

The one that annoys me? I had to move it into the right forum.

Seriously, someone said you broke a rule? It's much more a common sense thing to not make it a habit 'just cause' -- bumping old threads without a good reason just clutters the forum and confuses folks. A thread here and there can be fun (or funny, or sad, such as in the Angelsboi thread the other week), and we have no interest in micromanaging that. Like everywhere else, we know people use good sense. The rare time they don't, that's easy to address on a case by case basis.

Yangnome, the obvious answer is "so they can be read"!
