2005 WotC d20 Modern product: d20 Apocalypse

There's a way to politely point out that you don't like someone's work Art. If "blech" is all I had to say about someone's work I wouldn't say anything at all.

I honestly feel your writing is not onpar with that of other developers.
First off, you ignorant moron, I am not a developer. I am a designer. If you don't know the difference between the two, maybe you should pay attention to this industry that you are supposedly a part of.

Second, most people around here tend to put some stock in the staff reviewers, so here's a breakdown of the main books I've worked on over the past few years.

Book of Exalted Deeds: 4 star average.
Merric B: 4 stars
JoeGKushner: 4 stars
Selvarin: 5 stars

Serpent Kingdoms:4 star average
RandomGM: 3 stars
JesterXLVII: 5 stars
Amazon.com: 4.5 stars

Oathbound: Wrack & Ruin: 4 star average
Voadam: 4 stars
JoeGKushner: 4 stars
Trancejeremy: 4 stars
Gamewyrd: 4 stars

Oathbound Arena: 4 stars

Your assertion is not supported by the reviews, and it is a known fact that I've been unwilling to deal with your crap in the past.

And lets not forget, personal attacks on individuals are prohibited at Enworld.
You threw the first stone. I'm simply pointing out that your opinion is based on a personal dislike rather than any form of qualified opinion. Now go crap in some other thread, because this is not something that I am willing to tolerate.

Since when is it rude to point out your distaste for someones work on a posting board? Its no less rude for him to call me a lamer and a loser, now is it?

One could argue that the "lamer" and "loser" comments were provoked. If your only comment on his writing is "blech", and if you feel the need to say that you avoid anything with his "claws" on it, well, you aren't making yourself look particularly clever. More like childish name-calling.

Don't be so nasty.

In a naive attempt at heading off the brewing flamewar, let me just say that I am truly thrilled about D20 Apocalypse. If this book is good, it could single-handedly bring me back to D20 Modern.

I am an old-school, die-hard Gamma World fan from back in the day. I'm talkin' 1980, folks. I'm talkin' the 1st edition, the one with the Buck Rogers guys about to enter that ruined city.

I've never lost my love for Gamma World, but man, oh man, did I come close with some of the recent offerings, particularly 4th edition, the Alterntiy edition (5th edition), and Sword and Sorcery's debacle, the 6th edition/d20 edition. I'm not going to get into why I loathed Sword and Sorcery's version of Gamma World...most people seem to have shared that opinion, and it's well-documented on this and other forums.

Suffice it to say that I am hoping, truly and completely, that D20 Apocalypse is the Gamma World I once loved...and will love again.

We need to restore order in here. Two Minute Timeout, and hope PKitty doesn't get involved.

Sheesh, kids these days...

Well, you're right. I shouldnt have said "blech" that was quite inappropriate for me.

And congradulations on the good reviews. Thats great. But that doesnt de-value my opinion. I dont know about Oathbound, but for Serpent Kingdoms there were two other Designers who are owed that good credit.

I have no problems with you personally, I just havnt appreciated some of your work thats all. If you want to maintain some sort of agression towards me, go ahead.
