...I have no problems with you personally, I just havnt appreciated some of your work thats all.

If by "work" you mean "his making fun of you on Nutkinland" then I agree with you. You haven't appreciated his work.

I, however, am a fan.

Do you recall any of that?

Do you recall your threatened lawsuit over being ridiculed?

Do you recall your letter of complaint to WotC regarding Darren's "Unprofessional" behaviour".

I recall all of that.)

I aslo recall your denial that it was you who wrote it. How did that denial go again...?

Oh yes, I recall it went like this "You have no proof that it was me."

I hope I can get that clearance as well.

So anyway, WotC has a new d20 Modern book on next year's schedule, d20 Apocalypse. :) Sorry for just the Amazon link earlier - it wasn't up yet on WotC's site when I posted that.

Personally, I'm really not a huge fan of the post-apocalypse RPD genre, but if I was, I'd probably go with Darwin's World 2. I suppose if d20 Apocalypse is released into the modern SRD and the rules are solid and popular, RPGObjects can always release Darwin's World 3, just like they did with Blood and Space 2 after d20 Future came out. :)

Anyway, on topic.

I agree with the above poster that Darwin's World 2 has set the bar pretty high Drader

without violating your NDA, can you list a few things that it will provide that DW2 might have missed?

I am a big fan of the genre, and I agree with you.

I'm not sure people have read the whole blurb. It's a 96 page book people, with THREE campaign models. If you're all about hardcore post-apocolyptic gaming, this probably ain't gonna satisfy you.

This new rules supplement provides everything players and Gamemasters need to participate in adventures in a post-apocalyptic setting, including rules and designs for apocalyptic events, such as nuclear war, environmental disaster, alien invasion, or Armageddon. The book provides new rules for barter, scavenging, equipment, mutations and robots. Three ready-to-play campaign models are included.

So I reckon there's gonna be some expanded stuff from D20 Future. A expanded upon scavenge rule set, more in the way of mutations, and a way to do bartering. All of these things are covered in D20 Future, albiet in a fairly specific way. I reckon we're not gonna see too much new, just expansions on the existing rulesets. WotC isn't much int he habit of providing multiple systes for the same thing.

Just to clarify: I wouldn't run a post-apocalypse campaign, but I'd probably play in one if I had the opportunity - I love RPGObject's stuff, and I'd like to try Darwin's World.

If you are interested in running the genre, but are daunted by the immense size of Darwin's World 2, then you might want to take a look at Redline by FFG.

It's one of their little, self-contained Horizon brand games, and it's a very good one if you like "Road Warrior" type stuff.
