He wants to test the unrestricted free agent market at the end of next year. The Canucks would have to offer him an UNBELIEVABLE contract for him to consider signing.
I don't know...upon taking a look at the record of the guy that came with Luongo, he looks like he's at least the equal of Bryan Allen.
Which means we traded Auld + Bertuzzi in exchange for Luongo; whioch doesn't sound too bad to me. That he is UFA next year is alarming, but I can't think Dave Nonis (our GM) doesn't have soemthing planned.
He looks like a big, fat baby; but so far he's proven to be awfully damed cunning and proficient at his end of the game.
Nonis was on The Score earlier and he said that the team's restricted free agents are first proirity, but that he'll TRY to sign JovoCop. However, his tone was a bit sarcastic. Now that there are some familiar faces in Florida, expect Jovonovski to want to go there even more than he wanted to before the trade.

Now you know how Oiler fans felt after getting Pronger and Peca.![]()
And now Pronger has asked for a trade becasue--of all things--his wife doesn't like Edmonton? I mean WTF?
The guy hauls the team into Stanley Cup contention in the first year of a 5-year contract and now is trying to get traded becasue his wife likes Edmonton less than St Louis?
I mean come on. :\
First: Bad Hockey Wife! No cookie!
Second: I've been to both Edmonton and St. Louis and St Louis makes Edmonton look like the garden of Eden!
